I liked 'Sheed's reaction. "I don't watch that garbage".

Why's he upset with that call if he didn't play for most of the season?
Thu Jun 17, 2010 7:07 am
Does one have to play to be upset with horrible calls?

No, but does he really have to go crazy like that in a REGULAR season game? It's not like the Warriors were going to the playoffs anyways.

It doesn't matter if they're not going to the Playoffs, indeed I'd say the mere fact he gives a damn in the midst of a losing season is admirable. He's passionate about the game and a team player, nothing wrong with that.

Ron Artest ain't got shite on Cedric Maxwell.
He wasn't ejected out of the game. He didn't get suspended either. He even became Finals MVP.

Wow, I've never seen that before. We don't know what the fan said but still, not a very classy move by Maxwell; like the commentator said, he was in the wrong. If that happened today, his suspension would probably exceed the one that was handed down to Artest, since at least Artest could claim some physical provocation.

Don't know if everybody seen this but awesome..

True, no disputing the fan he went after was the one who said something that upset him. Points for that I guess.

As for the video Pat posted, I imagine Kobe saw that and immediately increased his security.

The ending to Celtic Pride is actually somewhat prophetic as to how the 2010 Finals went down, giving you even more reason to be lukewarm towards it.

3:35 - no wonder Red Auerbach wanted Bill Russell, he needed an insurance policy against Wilt.

Someone can't time-stamp properly.
Guy was still the most absurd athlete ever. Not saying others weren't potentially more athletic, but nobody else was 7-1 and still had the athleticism plus the skill. (And has anyone else gone on to dominate another professional sport after retiring from his primary one? Even if it was volleyball?) David Robinson is basically the only guy comparable. If Wilt, or even if Robinson, had the "designed from almost birth" training programs plus gear and amenities LeBron and Dwight have had we would have had to shut down the league due to the sheer absurdity. Hell, even if Jordan was able to have them. The fact that LeBron and Dwight have gaping holes in their fundamentals is only what is saving us now, Wilt and Robinson had those.
