Ok....I heard Rumor that NBA has been screwing around with the Rules and are sending Last Minute Invites...and I also heard DESMOND MASON got a Invite but he DECLINED

Someone on NikeTalk said he Talked with Chris Andersen and he said this were the People in it SO FAR:

Chris Andersen
J-Rich
Fred Jones

: The guy on NikeTalk said that 1 or 2 guys are left. Another guy on Niketalk said he Met Dahntay Jones' Family and He asked the Family a Question and the a Family Member said "We're Flying down to L.A. to see Him"

So that means the Dunk Contest goes like this:

Jason Richardson
Chris "Birdman" Andersen
Fred "Indiana" Jones
Dahntay Jones
And ???

Oh well, all we can do is hope that it won't be as disappointing as it's been for the last 3 years.

nice to see dahntay jones in it hopefully. about time a grizz was chosen for something even though Jwill shouldve been in the skills challenge. :(

why chris anderson might be in it...to me he is a little bit too goofy acting lol

desmond either did not get an invite or declined his invite because he is his 4th year and an invitee must not have played more than 3 years in the league

I thought Dahntay Jones was a 3pt bomber? Maybe that's why they thought he was going to LA?

...I'm thinking the slam dunk contest needs Lisa Leslie...

Despite what's being written in Oakland and San Francisco, two-time jamboree champ Jason Richardson, whose stepfather is gravely ill, will defend his crown during All-Star weekend in L.A. Sources maintain a commitment was made late yesterday, making the league and its sponsor (Sprite) exceedingly blissful. It's still undecided whether the league will amend its brainless new rule (nobody with more than three years of service is allowed to compete), which would permit world class sky walker Desmond Mason (the winner three years ago) to avenge last February's microscopic loss to Richardson. Sources say there's a raging debate behind closed doors whether common sense should be applied to this issue

I would like to see old stars particpate in a Slam Dunk contest.
Players like Latrell Sprewell, Kevin Garnett, Antonio McDyess, Tim Thomas, Keynon Martin, Rasheed Wallace, Jerry Stackhouse and evan Allen Iverson. They could call "Old School Slam Dunk Competetion"

BTW: If J-Rich wins this year too, won't he be the first player ever to win three in row :?:

I'd like to see the best of the best.

T-Mac
Kobe
VC
LeBron
J-Rich

Hurry NBA before it's too late. Soon all of these guys will get old.

Yep.

I wonder if LeBron is really gonna participate. I think he's pulling our legs and then he's gonna make a huge surprise entrence with a sick slam.

well the dunking contest is VC's reputation...if he enters and loses this year u can be sure that he won't be the vote getter of next year...cuz all he has is his dunking reputation if he loses that fans won't vote for him

btw Kyle Korver of the 76ers is replacing Brent Barry in the 3 pt shootout
