Knocked unconscious according to the
recap. Gotta love the commentators though, irritably asking "What is he doing?" as though he's just having a rest.

And they continue playing around Melo even if he is sleeping

He definitely turned rubbery after the initial contact with Durant. You can see him kind of wobble a bit and the back of his head also hits Kevin Durant's left shoulder as he goes down.

The refs are stupid. If they thought Melo was being an ass they should have at least called a technical on him. Even if it was a wrong call it might have given the doctors a chance to look on Melo's condition.
J.R. Smith is also/still a grade-A moron.

I still like how it looks like he's just taking a good nap with big ol' grin on his face at around 2:50

But yeah, horrible decisions by the refs, shoulda called something. Just because it wasn't an move with high impact doesn't mean that nothing's happened.
I just wonder how long they'd have continued to let them play on if the travel on Smith wasn't called.

"The last call, was never whistled, the ball was blocked, not a travel..." or something like that according to the referee in the video.

Absolutely, in a situation like that I think it has to be an automatic timeout and the player tended to. It's potentially a danger to everyone on the court, let alone the player lying on the floor.

Nasty indeed. As for him hanging on the rim, in that situation it can certainly be excused. Otherwise, he could've ended up like Andrew Bogut.

I thought Jao posted a video of Marion and Kidd during their Phoenix days. Forgot they play in Dallas now. Who did Kaman pass it to, don't know who is that.

That must be Steve Blake

Thanks. My memory of current NBA rosters is a bit hazy currently after playing so much legends (default and 2Kshare) in 2K10.

He's so great, they don't even need to spell his name right.

That NBA Players Association thing got me curious...
http://www.nbpa.org/leadership... who knew James Jones has a head for numbers...

Just when you thought the 2010 NBA Dunk Contest couldn't be shown up any further...
A 6'2" high school player tops pretty much every entry in the contest, in a game no less.

ouch, that was nasty

Weird situation in the GS-Portland game:

It's cool to see that finally happen, even though it required some Nellification.

Not sleeping, dying.

A side by side comparison between the original Gatorade commercial and MessenjahMatt's re-creation. Due to certain limitations a few things had to be changed from the original commercial, like old MJ's uniform, the court.. etc.

That's still pretty awesome, he did a fantastic job.
