Rumor: NBA Jam not a Wii exclusive, coming to XBLA and PSN

Details about EA’s revival are relatively sparse at the moment, but our own sources within the publisher tell us that it won’t remain a Wii exclusive forever. They say that the revival is set to make the jump to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network at a later date. – 1up report

i hope so, my guess it will make the jump before ASW 2011, before the rosters get too too out of date

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much lest I be disappointed but that's encouraging news. I've been voting in the polls in the hopes that it might eventually get ported to XBLA/PSN (as well as my general interest in the franchise), so I'd really like to see it happen.

It would be a waste to make it exclusive to the Wii. I wonder how many people will jump on it and how long it's popularity will last, provided the kids who never played the original enjoy a newer version.

I'm guessing some of the people who liked Street but never played Jam will probably get on board. So long as people can get their sim fix, I think there's still a market for arcade-style sports games.
