Kurt Warner has decided to retire. Thoughts?

After a season like that, i'd thought he'd want 1 more go, but if rick reilly can be believed he could barely move after that last playoff game. I was finally starting to warm up to Kurt Warner. I used to say he was only good because of his ridiculous receivers...but the more he played, the more i saw what he was doing that was making him and his receivers phenomenal. Sad day for football and im guessing Cardinals fans. Is Leinart ready to take over?

SB sunday is tomorrow...anyone have anything to say about it?

Im still pulling for the Saints but i really do think colts will win: freeney or not.

Halftime show will suck as usual...if janet hadnt whipped out her damned tit maybe we'd still have a real half time show again that didnt involve 60 year old rockers.

I'm hoping Saints win, but think Colts might be a little too good. Hope I'm wrong :P

I got the Saints for the high scoring win. I'm hoping for a shootout like that Cardinals game.
Opinions are my own.

Watching the pregame stuff: its almost all about the Saints and little to nothing about the colts...Seems odd. I mean i know the Saints have alot of great stories, but the only thing i saw about the colts today was pierre garcon/haiti.

It wouldn't be bad to see a shootout. I'm rooting for the Saints as well, but Colts are going to be a tough matchup for them.

The correct answer to the question, "WHO DAT?" is Peyton Manning. Colts 31 Saints 21. Happy Super Bowl Sunday!

*I really don't mind the Saints, I just hate that they've magically gained 5,000,000 "fans" in the past 2 months. I'll respect a Saints fan who was their during the Aaron Brooks Era-- and fuck Reggie Bush lol.

Great win by the Saints :P

Gotta love all the gutsy calls, the sort of stuff you only see in Madden (i.e. passing up field goals on 4th downs, opening 3rd quarter with onside kick), just beautiful

their opening drive of the 2nd half is the only reason I stuck with the game, great win (Y)

now, to be honest, (N) for the next 3 days of SportsCenter doing nothing but Superbowl fallout

agreed, i wont watch espn for days after the game but big stories tonight

1. Brees is now an all time great. Stats and a SB ring/MVP...He has to be in the conversation.

2. Sean Payton said "the leagues mvp"...sorta a slight against peyton...he'll get in trouble for that one i bet

3. Peyton hadnt choked in so long it was due. I had jokingly said this pregame. Little did i know 1 TAINT (touchdown after interception) would pretty much decide the game.

4. Yes the saints milked the hell out of katrina, haiti, cancer kids, and the "city" but fuck they're fun to watch, there's not a single guy on the team I wanna punch in the face (outside of reggie bush). Everyone stepped up when needed be it the d, Pierre Thomas, Henderson. The saints played damn good football. The colts played pretty good football. It just wasnt enough.

Had a party with some close friends, it was a good time, we pretty much mst3ked the entire game (when the saints one..."man bourbon street is gonna look like a hurricane hit it tomorrow"...i was the only one that laughed) and of course made fun of the halftime show. 80 year old rockers dont need to be on hd tv.

I dont think the remaining 2 Who members and Ringo Starr's son did that bad of a job. Yea they look like hell and their harmonies were terrible, but other than that it was a pretty good halftime show. And yes, for the record, I thought the halftime show is fun in rockband (they released it right after the game)

Fuck this shite. No channel (or those available in my cable subscription) in here broadcasted the game unlike in the past. I'm really living in a third world country.

Peppers and Chester Taylor to the Bears

Jake Delhomme cut

I simultaneously love and hate free agency.

I think we should hire him as a qbs coach or something. He did alot for the team and i respect that..but you throw that many INTs you gotta go.

i also think we should move john fox to d coordinator and put cowher at the helm. It'd be an unstoppable beast of a team.

Thoughts on the Jets signing LT?

Not sure why they let a productive quality back go to sign a guy who gets alot of receiving touches and doesnt run that much anymore. Are they making him the backup behind Shonn Greene? Stupid move in my opinion...

But not as stupid as the Browns releasing andersen, trading quinn, and getting delhomme. They're in trouble.

Yeah, I think LT is gonna be cut after the season. I don't understand why teams can't realize that rb's just don't play well after hitting 30.

I think the Browns had to bring an end to the Quinn/Andersen chapter in the teams history. Andersen showed he can play but he just wasn't consistent. Quinn on the other hand didn't do much, if anything to justify all the hype he had behind him. I think Denver might be his last chance to prove the naysayers wrong, but who knows if he can even beat out Orton for the starting job.

It could be another Drew Brees controversy for all we know. Brees' play was resurrected coming to the Saints. With the offensive line that the Jets have LT could have another chance at running redemption. He is a good running back and all, and maybe he has a little more left in his tank so I think it would give him a good chance to prove that he could still play.

What are you talking about Brees was resurrected? he was a beast in san diego and got hurt and they had a young guy to put in his spot so they did because at that point (LT, Gates at primes) the qb position was expendable. If anything Brees might've won a SB for the Bolts if they had kept him.
