final seconds of the lakers-wolves game . . .

Wed Jan 07, 2004 1:25 pm

did anyone see what happened during the final seconds of the lakers-wolves game? kg stuck his hand out to kareem rush as a sign of sportsmanship (he did this for about 5-6 seconds) but kareem just totally blew him off and walked away.. what a dick, i hate fuckers like that

Yes I agree, typical Raper :furious:

Well it looks like kobe's knee was in tip top shape and he was able to stop spree :)

not good at all. :scold:
Looks like KG, K-Mart, and Maggette all will be fined in the next couple of days.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 2:40 pm

Did you read the damn sentence J.23 wrote? He said KG offered Rush a Handshake.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 3:20 pm

Yeah, I saw that... KG played great, huh? 26 pts, 18 boards, 6 assists... Damn, he's the MVP IMO.

Maggette and Martin are gonna get in real trouble soon.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 3:20 pm

uh yeah i did

maybe you have a hard time believing it but i actually saw it happen

Wed Jan 07, 2004 3:21 pm

my vote for mvp too.. he killed them in the boards.. he's so consistent its scary

Wed Jan 07, 2004 4:01 pm

lol crap...i thought it said KG pointed his middle finger up to Kareem Rush  :?

in that case I guess it does show good sportsmanship with KG and solid games like this make him my choice for MVP.

It will be a close race between KG and Duncan again.
Who ever wins the division will get it I think...or this might be KG's year since Duncan has gotten it 2 years it a row...gotta reward KG at somepoint.

I think Old School Fool meant in his post that Amphatoast misunderstood your comment about KG showing good sportsmanship and thought that

it said KG pointed his middle finger up to Kareem Rush

as that led Amphatoast to say that KG might get fined by the league. Old School Fool was pointing out that that is not the case.

Wed Jan 07, 2004 4:28 pm

oops my bad old school fool..
my apologies

Wed Jan 07, 2004 4:55 pm

wow a MVP and a person who helps...well he certainly gets my vote...being so competive and caring at the same time...hard to find

Wed Jan 07, 2004 8:29 pm

Damn...another loss. Just 2 much Sam Cassell and Latrell Sprewell in the 1st half, they were knocking down shot after shot. Sam already had 11 points after the 1st 5 minutes of the game, and most of these points came from high screens by Kevin Garnett. I dont understand Phil Jackson, when the Lakers cut the lead back to 11 or something, he subsituted Kobe for Derek Fisher.....why that Phil? Kobe was the only one making baskets that time, and you change him for someone who makes brick after brick. Brian Cook really played well last night with some nice offensive rebounds (nba.com boxscore is incorrect) and outside jumpers/tip-ins and diving after loose balls. Kareem Rush was playing very well to, he actually MADE open shots for the change  ...that was real nice. I agree that he should give KG a hand, but he didnt.....maybe he tought he was defending the ball I dont know, I doubt it. That really makes a bad name for himself, I hate it when players do that. well.....congrats to the Puppies :P

Wed Jan 07, 2004 8:33 pm

yer it does suck the lakers had another loss, thats 5 losses in a row on the road now.

Im just not sure y Phil didnt put Kobe on Spree the whole game.
i think he defended him for about 8 minutes all up!

Wed Jan 07, 2004 8:37 pm

btw...Did you noticed that BS call on Slava when he grabbed that offensive board and was protecting the ball away from E. Johnson? how can that be a foul? he didnt even touch him. So I understand that technical foul on him, cause I would have done the same thing :?

Well it looks like kobe's knee was in tip top shape and he was able to stop spree :)

I dont remember seeing a Kobe - Sprewell Match-up. That was Deveans guy, not Kobe´s

Thu Jan 08, 2004 7:54 pm

Kobe attempted to gaurd spree a few times :) but my post was sarcastic, as was the point about his knee being in "tip top shape". Maybe you should re read it before writing an essay and attempt to give kobe any excuse under the sun as to why he keeps getting burned (y)

ok...I re read it (like in that thread that got locked). "Well it looks like kobe's knee was in tip top shape and he was able to stop spree". If thats sarcastic, you mean that Kobe´s knees *wern't* in top condition, and that Kobe *wasnt* able to stop Spree. How am I trying to make excuses if Spree wasnt even his guy to defend? Maybe you should just tape the game and watch it over before coming with conclusions (Y)....Im out

Fri Jan 09, 2004 6:56 am

lol.. Kobe couldnt stop spree even if he wanted to, and partly becuase of his knee not being 100%.. somthing you said would be healed... funny you didnt read that part :)
Go kobe!!

I said "The Minnesota - Lakers game isnt until the 6th of January, and they expected that Kobe would be recoverd by the end of December. Maybe he cant stop Sprewell now if they played tonight. But the game isnt untill next month". 1st - I didnt say it would be healed, the docs and trainers expected that. 2nd - The way he has been playing lately, his knee is imo almost, if not...fully recoverd. So maybe he could stop Spree, maybe not. Its to late now

Then why didnt he stop or at least slow down spree or sam cassell? I hope he was 100%, it shows how weak kobe is going to be in the playoffs defensively.. Imagine if the Twolves and Rapers meet... Cassel and spree can take turns in abusing Kobe. :)

[Silas from How High]WTF is your problem NBA_Fan_23?[/Silas from How High] It's rapist and rapists

Because GP and Devean guarded them? Dont blame this on him.....thats the fault of the coaching staff, for these defensive matchup. And this game showed how Kobe will play D in the play-offs? I dont get it :?

Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:07 pm

If kobe couldve gaurded and slowed down either spree or cassell, im sure the lakers staff wouldve assigned him on them. But kobe isnt stopping anyone defensively atm.. im not blaming him, im just pointing out how crap he is defensively right now :)

Fri Jan 09, 2004 9:19 pm

im sure the lakers staff wouldve assigned him on them.

But the Lakers staff also lets Horace Grant, Bryon Russell, Jannero Pargo, Kareem Rush and Slava start in the beginning fase of the 3th and 4th quarter while beeing behind by crappy teams like Golden State and Houston. In other words.....the Lakers coaching staff isnt really smart :P
