Well BAYAG, you’re the man!
I like this demo really, really much; it’s graphically impressive and historically accurate… I think you’re on the right track!!!
Just some minor issues I’d like to share with you all… hoping to be helpful!!!
Regarding the fatigue settings, I’d say now the players get tired too much... I “studied” Andrew’s updated rosters with realistic fatigue settings because to me are really well made and work for real. Andrew used to give every bench player a stamina rated from 60 to 72 (with some exceptions regarding players at the really end of any team roster with values around 55, but I don’t consider this because in the NBA today there are some players which stay inactive for most of the season). The starting players WITHOUT ANY SUPERSTAR ABILITY are rated between 68 and 72: please remember that during a game, the “X-Factor” player from both sides will get tired slower than his normal pace!!!
Every player with superstar ability has got a stamina value until 74. BAYAG, in my opinion (just an idea!) to get this done in a quick and effective way, you could use the following stamina ratings:
bench players: between 64 and 72
starting players without superstar ability: up to 72
starting players with any superstar ability (these are not affected by “X-Factor”!!!): up to 74
Now a couple of things:
First: I was playing Washington against Seattle and players didn’t dunk… pushing the dunk button, they don’t even jump… I tried Elvin Hayes and Wes Unseld even in Practice Mode but nothing changed… Then I tried with James Worthy and Kevin Garnett and everything was ok… The ratings for Hayes and Unseld look OK… maybe the “dunkpack” of new players (I mean the ones from the new teams added to last year's patch) has to be edited or something…
Second: In “reorder rosters” every bench player from 05 San Antonio has written in the left column “RI9” instead of “6”, “7”, “8” etc. I checked the players.dbf file, “ROSTERPOS” of San Antonio players needs a quick review… Easy solution…
That's all, keep going this way and congratulations again for the demo!!!
