NOTE : I was wondering, what season I am in. It says 2005-06 in my schedule, so that's clearly not it. I came up to 2011-12 which I wrote into some of the articles. Then, as I was looking at my Parmer article, I had written that he'll be in the 2011 draft, making this the 2010-11 season. After careful calculations it turned up it's currently the 2010-11 campaign. Although, you probably didn't even notice, that I had different dates. But it matters to me. :P

Sucks that Wade lost out to Yao in the MVP race, but I'm happy to see Yao do so well. 26.7 points per game is the type of offense that Yao is capable of generating if he could just stay healthy.

White's slam ended a 7-0 run late to give the Heat a 5 point lead.

Heat escape with game #1 victory

Image

Michael Beasley scored 23 points and 15 rebounds and Rashard Lewis also had 23 points to help the Heat beat the Pistons in game #1 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals.

Dwyane Wade finished with just 14 points, but added 10 assists, 3 steals and 4 blocks. James White chipped in 10 points while not recording any other statistics. The bench overall played a huge role, as it scored 33 points compared to just 16 by the Pistons reserves.

The Heat started aggressive and played with a lot of heart to win the first half by 15 points. However, everything went wrong from there. First Rajon Rondo fouled out, then Rashard Lewis picked up his 5th foul. The Pistons, led by Rasheed Wallace, Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince, quickly erased the deficit and as the final period begun, the score was tied.

Dwyane Wade got his 10th assist on a lob to Udonis Haslem and the Heat were looking to close the game out.

The Pistons had other ideas. Antonio Mcdyess came in, and so with Amir Johnson, Rasheed Wallace and Antonio Mcdyess on the floor together, they dominated the boards and the score was 95-97 from the Heat point of view.

Then, James White came in with the same look he had against San Antonio during the season, when he scored 31 points. He hit a three-pointer after being on the floor for just 14 seconds! Mario Chalmers then stole the ball and finished with an easy lay-up on the other end.

Tayshaun Prince missed a jumper and Haslem grabbed the board, fired a pass to Chalmers who threw it up so White could throw it down. The Pistons called a time-out, down by 5. Prince then redeemed himself and hit a three over James White.

There was 5 seconds on the clock, the score 102-100 in favor of the Heat and the Heat had the ball. They inbounded the ball to Chalmers who was quickly fouled. Chalmers, a 84% foul shooter left the fans pleased and ready to celebrate the win.

Chalmers missed both however and Rasheed Wallace had a shot to win the game, but couldn't hit a shot from the opposite free-throw line. The Heat fans were revealed and started celebrating. Confetti flew from the rafters and the Heat walked off the court.

Good win. All of the games around the league were decided by one or two points, except for the Cleveland and Toronto game.

Hamilton's free throws with 11 seconds to go were the key.

Detroit ties series thanks to Rip and Amir

Image

The Heat had swept the Bobcats and looked to go ahead 2-0 to finish the series in Detroit, but Amir Johnson and Rip Hamilton had other ideas.

The Pistons young PF was dominant the whole game, limiting Michael Beasley to just 7 points while scoring 18 himself and securing the win for the Pistons (read below). Rashard Lewis led the Heat with 28 and only Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade reached double-figures for the home team.

The Heat started as good as in game #1 with great play on both ends. Rashard was hot and Haslem came in to contribute nicely. On defense, D-Wade, Rondo and Chalmers were simply terrorizing Iverson, Stuckey and Hamilton as the three combined for 8 steals and forced the Pistons trio into 12 turnovers.

There was no third quarter collapse at there was in game #1. The Heat fought hard and were leading by 7 points and were 12 minutes away, to be a game away from the Eastern Conference Finals.

However, the Pistons played incredibly well, on defense and offense. Iverson sometimes took the matters into his own hands and missed easy shots, but Rasheed and Amir Johnson were there to clean up his mess.

As the game was tied at 104 with 32.5 seconds on the clock, the Pistons had the ball and called a time-out.

They looked to use all the time on the shot clock and did well. Despite the Heat's best defensive line-up in the game, they couldn't force a turnover.

With just 4 seconds on the clock, Rip Hamilton started to dribble, stopped at about 18 feet and made a shot fake which got Dwyane Wade air-born. He jumped into Wade and the referee called a foul on #3.

Hamilton calmly made both shots and the Heat called a time-out of their own.

The play was quite easy called the "D-Wade iso". The name pretty much says what the play stands for.

He flew by Rip Hamilton quite easily and looked to lay the ball in, but Amir Johnson came from behind and rejected the shot against the backboard. Lewis caught the ball, but the time had expired.

The Heat fans were stunned and just looked at Amir Johnson celebrating and jumping like a 7-year old girl.

The series now shifts to Detroit for games #3 and #4. If necessary, game #5 will be played in Miami.

NOTES : Iniko Lau saw his first playoff-action, scoring four points and making his first NBA three-pointer.

So I did everything I could to my PC, but it didn't help. As I turn on my PC, all that stuff with numbers come, all fine and then as Windows starts to load, it automatically restarts. :x It's hard to for example re-install Windows, as my CD/DVD-drive is broken.

If I take it to the repair, the cost will probably be half the price of a new computer, which seems pointless.

There's still a slight chance I can get it working with the save on it and continue this, but it's about 20%.

If I can't continue this, I will start a new one. My replacment PC, which I can use as long as I want, plays NBA Live 08 for example brilliantly. I'll try 2K9 on it as well. But if 2K is too good for this, I'll use NBA Live 06 with PC Project 2.0.

Also, the team won't be the Heat. They didn't do a thing in the off-season and I'd like something new.

So, please suggest, what you'd like to see.

Whether it's

a) Live 06 with NBA Live PC project including 2009 draftees.
b) Live 08 with TUP 09 including 2009 draftees.
c) 2K9 with current rosters if I can get it working on this PC.

and what team It'll be.

I'm really sorry my crummy PC (well it was about 4 years old.) died and that I couldn't finish this. I was really happy with the progress and the amount of followers. By far my most successful dynasty. :P

My favorite Live dynasty this last year. Congratulations man. It was very popular. If you didn't go away on holidays you would have finished it haha... Just kidding man! It was great!

The simple format and having NLSCers was the recipe for success. Very well done and always loved the pictures... except for the James White slow mo dunk which was awesome idea but i don't think turned out like how you wanted it? :D
