Big disappointments: Sure, the Bulls are wincing over that signing of Scottie Pippen. But it hasn't gone very smoothly with several other big off-season acquisitions. The Celtics have had to shut down Raef LaFrentz, acquired for Antoine Walker, for the season with knee surgery. He's owed $55 million through 2008-09. Walker returns to Boston with the Mavericks on Wednesday but took his first shot last week, blasting general manager Danny Ainge in the Boston Globe: "He might have set them back three or four years. It all depends on how long Paul [Pierce] is going to be willing to live with fighting around .500. Look at [Orlando's unhappy] Tracy McGrady. At the rate he's going, [Ainge] is not going to be in this position for a long time. When you're not trading value for value, it's personal. It wasn't like I'm going to jail. It's not like I'm in rehab. Other stars in this league watch what goes on. If you look at the trade, I think he really felt like I wouldn't mesh with these guys in Dallas. I think he was really trying to set my career back."
God damn, I'm pretty sure Tubzy just took jabs at half the league!
Let's see:
Danny Ainge, several times.
The Celtics in general.
Paul Pierce in comparing him to T-Mac (Mike will agree I'm sure

Raef Lafrentz (though it's true about the value thing probably)
Shawn Kemp, Vin Baker and countless other guys who were in rehab.
Kobe Bryant.
The Trailblazers.
Countless other stars going to jail.
...and Danny Ainge was trying to set Antoine's career back? Yes Antoine the world revolves around your fat ass, and Danny Ainge traded your fat ass to an offensively oriented contending team to make you suffer, rather than to try and create a better situation for the Celtics organisation! What a self involved fool!
