Hawks pull off upset, win game #1.
Eastern Conference - First Round - Game #1.

---------------------------------------

Image Heat - Hawks Image
--------------------------------------[107 - 110]

Image
Johnson and Bibby combined 15-16 from the stripe in the 4th, including 2 with 22 seconds to go.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play - Key performers

Dwyane Wade was back and the Heat shot 51 percent, put after a big deficit after the first half and good D
from the Hawks late, helped the Hawks pull off an upset against the #1 seed Heat. Coach Spoelstra brought
in Kyle Korver for shooting and he didn't disappoint. He scored at will and finished with 18 points, but his
shot at the buzzer to tie the game bounced on the rim, but didn't go in. Atlanta finished the season with
a record below .500, so this could be considered one of the biggest upsets ever.

Dwyane Wade came back, but felt like 120% healthy, scoring 27 points on 57% shooting. He was destined
not to win lose this game, but his heroics late weren't enough. Only 7 players scored for the Heat, nine
players got on the scoreboard for the Hawks. Atlanta shot 53% from the field and 89% from the stripe.

Another upset occurred in the Western conference, as the 8th seed Phoenix (15-14) beat the number one
seed Houston (22-7) 96-78. The Rockets shot 36% from the field and 2-11 from three.

Beasley's late jumper prevails Heat.
Eastern Conference - First Round - Game #2.

---------------------------------------

Image Heat - Hawks Image
---------------------------------------[80 - 77]

Image
Beasley hit a deep jumper with 15 seconds to go over former Heat Shawn Marion.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play - Key performers

The suffered a big blow as Dwyane Wade picked up his 5th foul early in the 4th. Heat's hero in many games
Kyle Korver came in and took the offensive burden, but D-Wade's defensive presence was gone. This
allowed Joe Johnson to keep up with the heat, tying the game with 35 seconds to go.

But Michael Beasley had the answer, scoring a tough three-pointer with 15 second on the clock. Tyson Chandler
had a block on a 2PT FG by Marvin Williams, the ball deflected out to Mike Bibby, who couldn't tie the game.
Michael Beasley had the rebound and the time ran out.

Whichever team advances, will most likely face the Bulls, who are one win away from advancing to the
semi-finals, despite Elton Brand averaging 40 PPG in the two losses for Philly.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play - Key performers

Michael Beasley : 25 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 11-18 FG, 1-3 3PT [POTG]
Dwyane Wade : 21 points, 7 assists, 8-21 FG
Tyson Chandler/Ben Wallace combined : 6 points, 22 rebounds, 6 blocks
------------------
Marvin Williams : 23 points, 8 rebounds, 9-15 FG
Joe Johnson : 10 points, 6 assists, 3-12 FG
Mike Bibby : 13 points, 8 assists, 5-17 FG

----------------------------

Outcome - (+/- game result - Ex : Heat by 15) - +/- 10 points.

giving the Heat 2-1 advantage in the series. The Heat are now one win away from the second

Wade amazing in triple-OT win, Heat advance.
Eastern Conference - First Round - Game #4.
---------------------------------------

Image Heat - Hawks Image
---------------------------------------[147 - 139]

Image
Hawks walk away with heads down - their season is over.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play - Key performers

The no. 8 seed Hawks proved to be much tougher then their record, as they fought hard with
the Heat, surrendering until after 63 minutes. The Heat will now face the young bulls, led by
superstar point guard Derrick Rose.

Mike Bibby's three-pointer with 1.3 left in regulation forced overtime. He knocked down 3 of
those in the 4th. Dwyane Wade tried to end it in regulation, but his three-pointer was off the
mark. In the first overtime, the Heat quickly trailed by 7 points, but after some made shots
and turnovers for the opponents, the Heat were down by three with 6 seconds to go. Wade
opted to pass it to Korver and rightly so, Korver forced OT number 2.

The second OT was 180 degrees different from the first as the Heat took the early lead. But
Mike Bibby and the 7'5' Daved Karpovtsev kept the Hawks in it. This time Mike Bibby had a
chance to win it, but he had to throw up a half-court prayer.

In the third OT, D-Wade was certain not to push this series to a game #5, as he scored 10
points and played great defense and the Heat close out the game on a 10-2 run, most of
them on free throws. Wade played 58 minutes.

Recap - Highlights - Play-by-Play - Key performers

Dwyane Wade : 47 points, 4 rebounds, 14 assists, 5 steals, 16-29 FG, 15-18 FT[POTG]

Heat News

Wade finishes second in MVP race.

Image

"Despite the heroics in game #4 against Atlanta, D-Wade did not take home the MVP trophy. Yao Ming received
the most votes, leading the Rockets to the top of the Western Conference. Miami's rookie Leon Wolf earned
a place on the All-Rookie 2nd team, with this year's class including being the weakest in the recent years.

Dwyane Wade didn't even earn a spot on the All-NBA teams, with guards Kobe Bryant and Joe Johnson taking the
2-guard spots."

Play-offs have nothing to do with the MVP award. It's a regular season award, EA is stupid, Wade finishing 2nd in the voting and not being in an All-NBA team
