LeBron with 30

Postby Colin on Sun Nov 30, 2003 1:12 pm

LeBron has 30.

As I write this there's 2 seconds left in the first OT and Cleveland has the ball and it's tied at 109-109. Wanted to be the first to say that he was 30. :D

Edit: He missed the game-winner, 2nd OT starts

God-DAMN, 13/25 is around 52% from the field if I'm not mistaken, he has 15 rebounds and 7 assists...btw, if some of ya'll forget...he's 18 years old.

I officially declare myself part of the LJ bandwagon. Woohoo, a hearty "hey" to all my fellow bandwagonners (Sup Yohance :P )

Real Deal anyone? With time he can only become better. (Y)

Hold on here, LeBron played well, but measure everything.

He had 8 turnovers, he had many open looks down the stretch in the 4th Quarter and the 2 overtimes, including 2 different times with the last shot going no where, he had 15 Points, 4 Rebs, 1 Ast, 1 Stl and 3 Turnovers during the final 18 minutes (4th OT, OT2) shooting 7-17. These are pretty good numbers, except not making the baskets when they counted. James was only 3-6 from the field in 10 minutes of overtime, for 7 points with 3 Rebs, 1 Ast and 2 turnovers.

Cleveland was leading 80-64 to start the fourth quarter (LeBron had 18 points, 12 Rebs and 6 Asts at this point)

They also led by 24 during the third quarter.

This game was a good game to watch, Ricky Davis made the worse play I have seen this year late in the 2nd overtime, leaving his feet, spinning in a circle and threw the ball right to Stomile Swift right next to the Memphis basket, which led to a Swift dunk and 121-115 Memphis lead with 27 seconds remaining.

LeBron played the best game of his career,
but Cleveland blew this game at least 20 different ways.

4th Period
(10:19) [CLE] James Jump Shot: Missed
(8:45) [CLE] James Tip Shot: Missed

(5:25) [CLE] James Jump Shot: Missed Block: Gasol (4 BLK)
(5:18) [CLE 87-86] James Jump Shot: Made (21 PTS) Assist: Bremer (4 AST)
(4:04) [CLE 92-87] James Jump Shot: Made (24 PTS) Assist: Davis (7 AST)

(1:37) [CLE] James Jump Shot: Missed
(0:21) [CLE] James Jump Shot: Missed
(0:00) [CLE] James Turnover: Bad Pass (6 TO) Steal: Miller (1 ST)

(This play was not with no time left, that is the final part of it, James had the ball with around 6 seconds left, fell down twice and finally just threw the ball right to Mike Miller.

Those 8 turnovers are ugly. A shame they lost, I hate the Grizzlies too which makes it worse. But I only hate them because they are the Memphis Grizzlies instead of the Vancouver Grizzlies.[/b]

in many minds, there is so such thing as the king of basketball.

to some of you who are complaining about lebron's turnovers, let me remind you that rookies make turnovers.

lebron has 3.76 turnovers per game and check this out:

carmelo has 3.00 turnovers per game,
tj ford has 2.53 per game,
mike sweetney Ranks #13 in the NBA in Turnovers Per 48 Minutes(4.57),
kirk hinrich is getting 3.00 turnovers per game,
dwayne wade has 3.33 per game..... get the point??????????
theres even steve francis, who has 3.75 turnovers per game and hes not even a rookie and steve francis led the league in turnovers last year. this year it is paul pierce

and carmelo, ford, sweetney, hinrich, and wade are all older than lebron.

Pau had 37 pts and 11 rebs. Mike Miller almost had a triple double with 20 pts, 13 asts and 8 boards. Battier had 22 pts and 11 rebs, and Stromile had 19 pts and 8 rebs. Those are some big numbers. If JWill wouldve played, he would have like 20 asts that game. As for Cleveland they need help bad. I know they are a young team, but the Grizz are young too and DMilles has to go along with Davis. Davis is a good player but he do dumb stuff. As for the Grizzlies they are still improving and will be in the playoffs next year hopefully because the new division lineups really are messed up for us. There is no reason to hate on the MEMPHIS Grizzlies because if they wouldve stayed up in van-city they would still be a bad franchise, because Jerry West would never come up there.

Lebron had alot of turnovers...but how can he pinalized whe he's only a rookie? When last has anyone EVER seen or heard of a rookie putting up those numbers? He's not as good as Kobe....but if you compare him to rookies...then he's a phenome.

very very true Yohance, im been very surprised by Lebron this year.
i even have a liking towards him.

hes putting up great rookie numbers for 18 year old.
but then comes the argument of, if others like t-mac,kobe,KG etc. had the minutes hes getting, they all could be quite similar.
all but assists of course lol
t-mac and kobe just looked to score in the early days.
