Agreed with the part about not able to cover CP3...he's gonna own my PGs....but i think it would be a close game, cause of the guys i have down low... (Shaq and Emeka vs Tyson and David West (out muscle them :D) Jason Richardson's offense against Peja's defense, and the fact that Hornets have no bench (basically..) while i have OJ, Arthur, Augustin  i think this would be a close one (i think i am gonna enjoy playing this one as much as i enjoyed that 2OT preseason game XD)

Jason Richardson Saves the Day With Buzzer Beating 3
Image

Jason Richardson was only 1 for 5 from three point territory on Friday Night, but it was the one that brought his team to victory at the buzzer.

The Game plan formed by Larry Brown can be said in a very simple phrase..."get the ball to shaq, get the hell outta his way", apparently it worked, as Shaquille O'Neal pounded in a season high 46 points in the contest, while grabbing 14 rebounds alongside with it, he also got 3 assists, 4 steals, and 3 blocks as well.
"well, obviously it was a mismatch, them having only Tyson Chandler in the post, i just took advantage of that fact and did what i normally do, i was, and still am, the most dominant big man in this league" said O'Neal after the game.

But it was CP3 vs Jason Richardson in the final seconds of the game.
Chris Paul hit a 3 pointer with 37.2 seconds left in the ball game, then forced a turnover with James Posey to get the ball back, he then hit a deep 2 with 27.3 remaining to put the Hornets up by 1, and forced yet another turnover with Posey, but this time, Jason Richardson would get the biggest steal of the game, a timeout was called with 3 seconds remaining, and Jason Richardson got the ball from the inbounder, and fired with James Posey in his face with 1 seconds remaining...it swished in at the buzzer, and the Time Warner Cable Arena went wild as the Bobcats take the win at home, beating the Hornets 96 - 94.

Notes: Chris Paul finished the game with 31 points, but was in foul trouble all game. Rookie OJ Mayo had 16 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, and 3 steals coming off the bench, playing some major minutes with the assignment of defending Chris Paul. This game was Shaq's best game since his first year with the Miami Heat.

Bench

Dewayne White
Brian Cook
J. J. Redick
Jeremy Richardson

Head Coach: Stan Van Gundy
Injury Report: N/A

Key Factors
- Rashard Lewis
Image
Despite being on the Rumor Mill about being traded away, Lewis is having a MVP year, currently ranked 2nd on the R2MVP list behind LeBron James. Bobcats Power Forward Emeka Okafor would need all the defensive moves he can think of to stop Rashard Lewis.
Currently, Lewis is averaging nearly a triple double with 24.5ppg, 8.6rpg, 9.1 apg

- Dwight Howard
Image
Howard isn't having such a good year offensively, only averaging 13.7 ppg, but his rebounding is still up there, although not right at the top of the league, 11.3 rpg and 1.3 bpg is still a challenge to the Bobcats Center Shaquille O'Neal.

Tabuse's Spectacular Performance leads Bobcats past Howard's Magic
Image

Yuta Tabuse looked like Chris Paul as he was completely on fire on Saturday Night as he led the Charlotte Bobcats to extend their winning streak to 7; He set career highs in points, rebounds, and steals with 33 points, 5 rebounds, 7 steals, and also 14 assists and took over the game as the other Bobcats were having an off night after their fierce battle with the Hornets in the previous night; Jason Richardson only scored 12 points on a miserable 6 of 15 shooting, while Friday Night's hero Shaquille O'Neal only had 9 points and 6 rebounds on 3 of 9 shooting, and was clearly out of gas.

"Well, i knew the guys were tired from last night's game, and i would have to step it up tonight, i was up against a much slower opponent in Jameer (Nelson) and i just kinda took advantage there, this is one of the best games in my career, it reminds me of a game where i scored 50 points to lead my team to victory in the Nationals (Japan Highschool Nationals), but overall i am just glad that i helped the team to win." said Tabuse after the game

Dwight Howard led the Magic with 27 points and 21 rebounds, alongside 3 blocks. Rashard Lewis, who is having a MVP season, came up with 20 points and 6 rebounds, but was injured on a collusion with Shaquille O'Neal with 2.44 remaining in the 4th quarter, he did not return and has been diagnosed with bone spurs in his right foot, and would be unplayable for some time. The Magic had a chance to send the game to overtime but Jameer Nelson's shot bounced off the rim with 1.3 seconds remaining, and the game was sealed as Jason Richardson grabbed the rebound off the Nelson miss.

Note: yeah i know, it looks shit, i am bad with these things...

If you guys could have any suggestions on who to get and stuff, i would really appreciate it, cant think of anything yet. i'm looking for better offense and rebounding, someone with more versatility, guys that i want to get rid off....Alexis Ajinca, Ryan Hollins, Darrell Arthur, Matt Carroll, possibly package Emeka with these people for 1 starter and 1 main backup, alongside scrubs

Bobcats Features
Act Five - His Airness goes to work on New Year's eve

December 31st 2008, 9:00pm EST
Bobcats Office

"Oh hey there Mike, still gonna work? its New Year's eve man" said Franjo Starcevic, the Bobcats' Assistant Head Coach
"Franjo! What have you got for me this time?" answered Jordan
"Just one little training report from our assistant coach Francisco da Costa regarding Yuta Tabuse, seems like he improved in various areas by a lot, good call signing him from Japan Mr Jordan" replied Franjo as he handed the report over
'It wasnt me who found him, it was Leo....' thought Jordan as he opened the report

Image
"woah, that is a lot of areas, and judging from those career highs lately i dont doubt this report, thanks Franjo"

"No problem Mike, anything else before i go?"
"well, nothing really....oh wait, can you get me the player's individual stat sheets so far and call Larry up please? happy new year by the way"
"Sure, hang on......here you go, i'll call Larry up on my way out, Happy New Year to you too boss, dont hang around the office too long, it is new year's eve afterall"
Jordan nodded before he waved Franjo Starcevic out, opening the stats sheet in the process...

Image
"damn, our offensive efficiency could be much better, if we are not missing all those free throws and making the first shots, we can be the best offensive team in the league right now..."

Knock Knock
The sound of the door knocking woke Jordan from his thoughts as Larry Brown came in.

"Hey there Larry, sorry for calling you up so late on New Year's eve, but i needa discuss with you about some stuff regarding the team..." said Jordan
"Sure, no problem at all, afterall, thats my job Mike" answered Brown "so, what is it this time?"
"Well, its about our offense....i know we are fine right now, and would make the playoffs the rate we are going, 20-10!! its the best start i have seen, ever...but, can we go all the way with this lineup? with this kind of offense?"
"I know what you are talking about Mike, but what can we do? our players are either too cheap to sell around or too expensive to trade away" said Brown
"Well, i think we need to make a move anyways, i hate to say it, but i think we've got to move Emeka, his struggles on the offensive end is really disturbing the team, even if his percentages says otherwise, he is just not taking shots, thats all." concluded Jordan
"Well, who would you want him for?" asked Brown
"Thats the problem, i have no idea who to get, but i did some research on the rumor mills, and found some interesting options..." said Jordan as he went online to the rumor mill "wait a second, how the heck do they know this?"
""Bobcats looking to contend with new moves?" Damn Mike, they read your mind, now we have to move Emeka, his mind wont be on the game anymore..."
"Well, yeah, look at this though, Lakers' Forward Lamar Odom is on the block apparently, i had Franjo check this out too, and he confirmed it to be true, what do you think Larry?" asked Jordan
"Mike, you know i am not high on Point Forwards, Our team revolves around point guards, i dont run the triangle offense."
"True true....sigh, next one then, Nets Power Forwards looking for upgrades, Yi Jianlian? i see him as a future Dirk, a 7 footer thats able to shoot the ball well at the 4, maybe play the 3..."
"Mike, Salaries? the nets are gonna refuse any offers associated with Emeka, cause he has this big ass contract that we've just extended, they want Lebron in 2010 or 2011 remember?"
"damn, well, this one? Miami Heat, according to rumors, are looking for a center, Emeka plays both PF and C, and it's rumored that they are willing to trade away either Marion or Beasley, we could try for an Emeka + fillers for Besley/Marion + fillers trade?"said Jordan in desperation....
"hum....i donno, Marion is too undersized, and his contract is just too big, we'll be giving up alot just for him, and Beasley...i donno, his character is the reason why Riley is shipping him isnt it?" answered Brown, uncertain
"Well, you are known for keeping wild players in check are you not? look at you and Iverson" said Jordan with a smile
"I guess, his talent on the boards and scoring would be enough to push us over the top i reckon, but we lose alot of d with the loss of Emeka, you are ok with that? defense wins championships mike"
"We've still got shaq down low, and Mayo, Tabuse, Leo, Dudley, Davidson are all defensive players, we should be fine...I'll give Riley a call now"
"Alright, whatever you say boss, i'll just do my best with any of those new guys...."
"I'm sure you will Larry...." said Jordan as he reached for the phone....

"Hello? Riley of the Heat speaking" said Pat Riley as he picked up the phone, a little annoyed sicne he was just about to leave for the celebrations at home...
"Hey there Pat, Jordan of the Bobcats here"
"Oh hey there Mike, what can i do for you" said Riley, feeling a little better since it is his long time buddy MJ calling
"Well...got something to offer you"
"Oh, a trade proposal? ok, just letting you know, i dont want O'Neal back and i am looking for a.." began Riley
"Center, yes i know, D-Wade is amazing but your team has no d, correct? i am wondering if you are interested in....say, Emeka Okafor?"
"You are not serious....you want to trade me Emeka? Charlotte is going to riot Mike..."
"Maybe, not for who i am asking for though..."
"Enlighten me" said RIley, interested
"Michael Beasley"
"ho ho, you want my trouble-filled kid? how brave of you." said Riley with a smile
"Well, thats what Larry is here for, to fix these kids up, but anyways, how about this...Okafor, Hollins, Alexis for Beasley, Haslem, Banks?'
"no Michael, i am generous to old buddies, but i'll get flamed till i die"
"well, this sounds fair doesnt it? Okafor, Hollins, Arthur interest you for Beasley, Blount, Magloire?"
"hum....yeah, that sounds fine, i'll get the paperworks in by the end of tomorrow, you'll have the guys before your first game in January, and for god's sake Mike, go home and celebrate, it's New Year's eve" said Riley after a pause
"Thanks Pat, i'll do just that." said Jordan as he hung up the phone...

Bobcats Features
Act 5.5 - Reunited

"Hey Larry, why the worried look? Beasley is looking good in that first game against Chicago, he scored 34 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in that win, we are now 9 straight man, cheer up!" said Jordan, noticing the out of focus Larry Brown
"Well, yeah, it's great to win, but that kid, and our team, we don't have a real veteran leader who can get them on the right track...sigh" said a frustrated Larry Brow

"Hey, that's why i am here..." started Jordan
"No Mike, this isn't something that you can just go into practice and solve, i need a long term guy there, on the roster..."
"I wasn't talking about myself" said Jordan, smiling a little at Brown's rare show of frustration "I got someone who you'd love to see"
"Who?" asked Larry, but he was interrupted with the team Trainer coming in
"hey Boss, he's done with the physical, and Cleveland is done as well, i brought him up, thought Larry and him would like to meet up and chat" said Andres Flores, the team trainer

"hey there coach, long time no see"
"ERIC!!! i thought you were going to retire during this season" said Brown, happy to see his former Point Guard
"not when i heard that Mr Jordan here is interested in recruiting me over here to play under you." said Snow, smiling
"Jesus Mike, how did you pull this off? i didn't notice any of our guys missing at practice today"
"That's because you never saw him at practice before" chuckled Jordan "i sent him off as soon as he came, you never saw him
"Who?"
"Mr Blount, who came over alongside Beasley due to his salary, i got cleveland to agree to the deal to send him for Eric, straight up, thought the team needs some veteran leaders like Eric here to help you contain Beasley and those young guys, and also to teach DJ and Yuta a trick or two in playing the point" said Jordan

Key Factors
- Lebron James

Yes, again, the Bobcats' focus should be to contain this leading MVP candidate, James has averages of 26.3 ppg, 5.6rpg, 9.2apg, 2.25bpg, 2.28spg
and without the help defense of Emeka Okafor, whom they traded to Miami for Michael Beasley, it's just going to be much harder to stop the King.

- Effectiveness of OJ Mayo, Michael Beasley
Image Image
Actually, it's more like how many points can Mayo score and how many good decisions Beasley can make, because, i dont care how talented Beasley is, he's not going to drop more then 20 against Big Ben's defense. Mayo is the key to the Bobcat's offense here, he's playing with the second unit, he's got mismatches to take advantage of, lets see how effective he'll be

- Yuta Tabuse

The Japanese born Point Guard has been great for the Bobcats lately, but can he get it done against a tough player like Mo Williams?

Notes: Bobcats have made very questionable moves recently, and their fan's have been booing them all day, even more so after their win steak was snapped at 10, 2 games after trading for Beasley, and 1 game after obtaining Snow, then they dropped 2 straight, one against the Milwaukee Bucks, who are last in the league standings currently, and most recently lost by 2 points to the defending Champs, Boston Celtics, who have regained their championship form after Paul Pierce has returned to the lineup. Friday Night would be a very good chance to show the world that the amazing run they had previously is no fluke, and that Jordan has not made another blunt error in his time in the Front Office.
