The Los Angeles Lakers celebrate a victory against their main opponents(at the moment) Phoenix Suns. Lakers sit 3rd in the western conference and 1st in the pacific division rankings.
Lakers started off successfully by gaining an eight point lead after the first one, but Phoenix didn’t sleep and narrowed the deficit by 4 points in the second period.
Phoenix banged the Lakers at the beginning of the third one, by chipping in 10 fast points without an answer. Lamar Odom was the only player to score for the Lakers in the first three minutes. He poured in 6 points, but Lakers didn’t even noticed how Phoenix took their lead and extended it to 12 points. Then Kobe Bryant started a 15-0 run with his other team-mates, and Lakers got back on the track. But after Lamar Odom and Smush Parker left the court, Suns concentrated on stopping Bryant, they did it perfectly. He was out of the offense, though he helped his team-mates with assists and rebounds. He got 5 assists and 4 rebounds in the third quarter. Steve Nash was able to lead his Suns through the rest of the quarter successfully and stop Lakers from scoring. After the third period Suns had a 5 point lead.
Amare Stoudemire was a completely dominant force in the paint, he was a rebound shy from a double-double double, with 27 points and 19 rebounds. He was able to lead the Suns through the last period, but Kobe Bryant didn’t want to lose. He just fired up and started scoring points without any limits. He scored 18 points in the last period, with some big help from his team-mates, Lakers were able to take the win from Suns’ hands. Lamar Odom helped a lot with 32 points and 8 rebounds, along with blocks, while the player of the game was chosen to be Kobe Bryant, who got his third 40+ points performance this season…

Latest rumors
Last year for Eric Piatkowski(PHO)?
Sun Dec 31, 2006 2:22 am
Sweet win vs the Kings and what a match by your big two vs Phoenix. Odom and Bryant are really amazing. A win over the Suns is very important every time you play them since you can avoid playing against the big teams from the West in playoffs, like the Spurs or the Mavs. But you know I am still a fan of LAL-PHO playoffs constellation. So lets hope ...
GOod luck !
Sun Dec 31, 2006 3:50 am
Aw man, you win

. It would be nice if you will play against Phoenix in playoffs. Also i Piatkowski retire after this season. In all mine dynasties he retires. And also now in my dynasty im researching rumor about his retiring.
Sun Dec 31, 2006 4:47 am
hova-, Well I'd be very excited if I'd get to play against Phoenix in the playoffs, could get a chance at revenge. Though I'd likely take the 3rd seed and don't play against Phoenix, but not take 6th seed and play against Phoenix. Though taking 3rd seed and playing against Phoenix would be a dream come true. But I doubt that I will be taking the 3rd seed at all, because Memphis is going up right now and my schedule gets at the hardest point, lots of games against Phoenix, Denver, Sacramento, Memphis and other strong teams.
BeByeMiS, I believe the rumor too. He's at the time that he must make that decision.

The Los Angeles Lakers suffer their first loss after winning two straight. Lakers still stand 3rd in the western conference and 1st in pacific division.
Minnesota started off successfully by gaining a 6 point lead after the first one, but Lakers cut it at the second and created their own, 2 point lead.
Minnesota quickly erased the deficit at the beginning of the quarter and held the lead till the clock showed 5 minutes. Then Jordan Farmar and Brian Cook made a 10-0 which forced Wolves to give the lead back. Lakers weren’t leading long, because Kevin Garnett felt the rhythm that night. He poured in 6 points in the last minute and took away Lakers’ lead.
Randy Foye was outstanding in the last period, he chipped in 15 points, along with him Mike James poured in 10 points to raise their team against Lakers’. Though it didn’t look easy at the last period at all, when Tyrus Thomas dunked the ball 3 consecutive times, taking the lead back and then Kobe banging in 5 points without an answer. Wolves didn’t sleep long, they were woken up by Foye as he started their amazing 15-0 run. Wolves took the lead at the middle of the quarter, and held it till the last minute. Then Kobe tied it with a trey, but Garnett answered with a powerful jam. Lakers tried to take the lead back, but were scoreless and couldn’t do anything…

KG was impressive, Foye and James had good games too, so their trio did all the job.
I missed Kobe's performance against PHO, that was great. Good luck in the next game
Sun Dec 31, 2006 8:11 am
Wow, did not expect a loss vs the T-Wolves to be honest. KG is always a handful to contest, but the others are not always contributing. James and Foye had very good games and KG was outstanding. I really wonder how quickly you update this stuff you are already so far ... and I am at 5-5 and too lazy to update at the moment
Sun Dec 31, 2006 11:46 pm
Marquis, Foye amazed me the most, I was unable to stop him, every time he shot the ball...
hova-, I don't know why, but the further I go the more exciting it gets... I can't wait for the playoffs, so I'm trying to update as soon as I can...

The Los Angeles Lakers lost to Milwaukee Bucks in a tripe overtime matchup. Lakers fell down to 6th position in the western conference.
Lakers had a 4 point lead after the close first quarter, they didn’t stop and extended their lead to 10 after the second quarter.
Michael Redd had collected only 11 points after the first half and made an exploding performance in the third quarter by chipping in 18 points to raise his team. Lamar Odom was the best Laker of the third period. He poured in 12 points. Lakers lost the third quarter by 5 points and that performance cut their lead to 5 points.
Maurice Williams nailed 2 treys at the beginning of the last period, giving his team a 1 point lead, but it was quickly erased by Kobe Bryant. Kobe also had a successful night, pouring in 45 points, getting 13 rebounds and 9 assists. The 4th quarter was going really fast and each team was taking the lead back at every minute. But it all came down to last minute and Lakers had a three-point lead. Neither of the teams scored in that minute, until the clock showed 10 seconds. Then Bucks had the ball, they gave it to Redd, who managed to get open and poured in a buzzer-beating trey for the tie, at the end of regulation. Lakers were shocked, because it looked that they had the win in their hands.
Lakers were monstrous at rebounding in all of the overtimes. They caught 82 boards(36 offensive). Milwaukee had 75(20 offensive). The game was going point by point till the second overtime’s end when, Lamar Odom and Smush Parker fouled out and left only Kobe Bryant, Tyrus Thomas and Kwame Brown fighting. All the Lakers were too fatigued and didn’t show much effort to win and had to surrender to the unstoppable Michael Redd and Bucks. Three Lakers had double-doubles, Kwame Brown(12 points, 20 rebounds(16 offensive), Kobe Bryant(45 points, 13 rebounds, 9 assists), Tyrus Thomas(24 points and 16 rebounds), Lamar Odom helped a lot with 35 points and 9 rebounds.
4 Bucks had double-doubles, Michael Redd(61 points, 12 rebounds), Maurice Williams(29 points, 11 assists, 9 rebounds), Bobby Simmons(20 points, 14 rebounds), Andrew Bogut(11 points, 19 rebounds), Brian Skinner(11 points, 14 rebounds).

Lots of monsterous performances. Redd's 61 points, Maurice's almost triple double, Kobe's great all-around performance, Kwame's 16 offensive rebounds, also your 82 rebounds sounds insanely. It would have been evry nice victory, but tough luck at the end.
Happy New Year!
Mon Jan 01, 2007 1:44 am
What a game. I do not want to mention each performance that was amazing for me

. Must have been a very very cool game to play. Maybe tough luck at the end but Redd is just so hard to defend.
Good Luck in your next game !
Mon Jan 01, 2007 2:34 am
Marquis, That could be called the most offensive game of year in my dynasty..
hova-, Yeah it looked amazing, though I was shocked after Redd made the trey for the tie... But I didn't have a clue how much he had scored until I saw the Box scores... And then I was SHOCKED!!!
Thanks for the comments and the support guys... HAPPY NEW YEAR

The Los Angeles Lakers lost the third straight time this week. Lakers fell down to 7th spot in the western conference and 2nd in the pacific rankings. If they lose once again they’ll fall down to 8th spot in the western conference and 3rd in pacific.
Both teams played similar basketball in the first half and ended it with a result 52:52.
Philadelphia’s Willie Green showed all of his best stuff in the second half, he added 14 points to his teams account in the third period. But the star was Andre Miller putting numbers, which weren’t seen anywhere from him this season. Sixers played a strong third quarter and held a 12 point lead with 2 minutes to go, but Kobe Bryant and Lamar Odom magically achieved a 11-0 run in the left time. Sixers had only a 1 point lead after the quarter.
Lamar continued his strong offensive performance and produced more points for Lakers. He got many great assists from Kobe, who finished with 11 assists. Kobe though didn’t forgot his offensive abilities and helped Odom with scoring points. The two greats were exploding in 4th quarter, Lakers held a 10 point lead when the quarter reached it’s middle. Then Sixers started silently evaporating the lead with lots of help from Andre Miller, who got 13 assists in the game. Sixers managed to takeover the game and entered the last minute with a 5 point lead, then they extended it to 7 and because of Lakers’ troubles with scoring in the last minute, Sixers were able to take the win.

oh tough loss - can't believe how consistent Odom is for you!
Mon Jan 01, 2007 3:49 am
Three losses in a row. This time against a team you could have beaten easily imo. Miller did really shoot well. But your defense on Green must have been quite weak. I think this is just normal, but you should step up and snap this streak.
Good luck !
Mon Jan 01, 2007 6:47 am
pacers4eva, Odom's latest performance is incredible, it should bump my team like it's needed, but so far the performance of the team isn't so good...

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their 4th loss in a row. Lakers managed to hold their 7th position in the western conference and 2nd in pacific.
Lakers started successfully by gaining a 3 point lead after the first quarter, but it was erased in the 2nd quarter. Lakers had a 3 point deficit entering the second half…
Lamar Odom and Kobe Bryant combined a dynamic duo, which was killing Mavericks by every second. They combined 25 points in the third quarter, along with 7 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Lakers started the quarter successfully with a 12-0 run, but Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry weren’t sleeping. They managed to stop Lakers by forcing Odom to foul the 5th time with 4 minutes till the end of the third quarter. Then somehow they managed to make a 15-0 run to get back the lead and extend it to 8 points, at the end of the third period.
Kobe Bryant scored 17 points in the last quarter and tried to bring his team back, with lots of help from other guys, especially from Jordan Farmar who achieved 8 assists and 8 points in 20 minutes. Lakers were looking good, but still felt the deficit. Then it all came down to the last minute, Mavs were leading by 5. Kobe made a trey to cut it to 2, but Mavs answered with 2 points. Kobe then again made a trey, to down it to 1, but Mavs answered with 3. Lakers weren’t able to score anymore points, while Mavs extended their lead even more.

Steve Nash(PHO) happy about roster stability, but not about team talent?
Tue Jan 02, 2007 1:11 am
Oh, oh ... 4th in a row. Western Conference is so deep, Mavs only 3rd in their division with 42-18 .... Spurs and Rockets must be hot. I think this time your big two did not get enough support by the others. That is killing you usually since you do not have a like the Suns, Mavs or Spurs (yet

), in which about 4-5 players can make it. I hope you snap this one, since you fell down to 7th and it would really really be a pity not to see you in the playoffs (Oh my God, that would be horrible to be honest

)
Tue Jan 02, 2007 2:59 am
hova-, Well I hope I can snap this shit pretty soon, next opponent is Denver, so it might be hard... I hope Tyrus Thomas or Smush Parker can improve strongly through the rest of the year and in offseason... That could make one of them to be a strong helper for Kobe and Lamar...I'm pretty sure I'll make the playoffs, cause I have to win at least 5 or 6 more games of the left 17-18 games..
Tue Jan 02, 2007 10:59 am
Great dynasty, but too bad about the losing streak. The Spurs are always so dominant in NBA Live. Sim a season and they always win 65 or more games.
2K7's sim engine sucks. They have an Overall of 90, and they seldom make the playoffs.
Can't wait until the next game!
Tue Jan 02, 2007 9:05 pm
Yeah Spurs are the team with great chemistry so they perform well in simming. I hope the Lakers will clinch their playoff spot soon enough.
Man, these Dallas jerseys were pretty weird for me in your previous game recap, tough loss btw
Wed Jan 03, 2007 5:59 am
Lamrock13, Well I'm glad your enjoying this one, and I totally agree with you, that Spurs are always so dominant in Nba live... Sometimes it looks unrealistic sometimes it looks realistic...This time, i don't know, probably unrealistic....

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped their 0-4 loosing streak at Denver. Lakers still sit 7th in the western conference and 2nd in pacific division.
Lakers held an early, but fragile 1 point lead after the first one, it was extended to 4 after the second period.
Allen Iverson started the third period strongly by banging in 3 treys into Lakers’ basket, while Lakers answered with two points only an lost the lead. Carmelo Anthony took the scoring role from Iverson and lead Nuggets offense. Nuggets were looking hot especially when Lamar Odom got his 5th foul in the third period and left the court to sit on the bench. But Kobe Bryant wasn’t playing alone, he felt some big help from Tyrus Thomas who finished with 24 points, also from Smush, Jordan and Kwame. Lakers played strong team-game and managed to get back, though they didn’t get the lead back, but Nuggets didn’t have it neither, after three quarters it was a tie.
Kobe exploded in the 4th quarter by chipping in 19 points to raise his Lakers. Other Lakers were doing everything for the win, rebounding, defending, passing. Nuggets’ Allen Iverson was the answer to the win, but he wasn’t as good as Bryant was. He made Nuggets defense look like rookies after all of his drive-trough’s and easy lay-ups. Lakers managed to takeover the game and took the lead. They were able to hold it till the final buzzer to snap they’re loosing streak.
