There are no really good PG at the FA list, so I wonder who you signed.
Looking forward to it!

If you dont look at the age you will find at least 4 solid pgs:
Gary Payton .. k dont like him at all but hes solid
Brevin Knight....he is a good pg, great passer
Sam Cassell ...... E.T. can do it all, not bad
Nick Van Exel... good shooterm, very quick

Charlotte, NC - The Charlotte Bobcats had quite a good offseason so far picking up two rookies, Miller and Hardy that would help this team out, even though they have a lot of work to do before they get a lot of minutes. The Bobcats released all of their free agents. Kareem Rush lost his starting position to Quentin Richardson and had a horrible playoff games, averaging only 3 PPG. Brevin Knight is getting older and losing the feel of the NBA Action. He asked for a big contact and didn't get signed. Other players that barely contributed were released. In the Free Agent signing period the Bobcats had 12.44 M of Cap Space and decided to make these signings.
DEVEAN GEORGE
The Charlotte Bobcats signed Devean George for 28.82 M for 5 Years. "Devean George is what we were looking for to be our 7th man, after we released Kareem Rush, George would be a great back up for Richardson and Stojakovic" - said Bobcats GM Ivan Shchipansky. The Small Forward out of Augsburg had a pretty bad season with the LA Lakers averaging only 4 PPG and 2 RPG. They decided not to sign him and he ended up as the top small forward on the free agent board. "Man I'm psyched about coming to Charlotte, I watch their big playoff run last year and I was rooting for them" - said newly aqcuired George on the press conference. He'll wear # 3.
NICK VAN EXEL
The Bobcats signed Nick Van Exel for 5.60 M for 1 Year. "I decided to sign Nick, because we need someone that's gonna be a solid back up to starting Point Guard Raymond Felton. Since Miller is a rookie, I'm not trusting him to be the main back up for Ray" - said Shchipansky. Van Exel is also gonna help out rookie Miller, he would be as a tutor. "Thanks for signing me, 'Cats. I won't disappoint you" - said Van Exel. Nick will be wearing # 19.
No, I did not sign Ben Wallace, I tried but I didn't have enough salary cap. You'll find out who signed him up next.

not bad, van exel is fast and george has his moments on offense.
Fri May 19, 2006 1:21 pm
Van Exel, eh? reminds me of my Live '05 Bobcats' Dynasty
keep up the good off-season coverage mate
Fri May 19, 2006 3:28 pm
Yeah, Nick "The Quick" is very ok ! Devean George is more of a backup, but still not bad signings !
Fri May 19, 2006 3:53 pm
Yeha Solid signing, not blockbuster or anything, but they make your team a lot deeper.
Are you looking at any trades?
Sat May 20, 2006 12:30 am
Alright signings.
I think the contract you gave for George is too much.
One year for Van Exel is good enough.
I expect him to put up some 6th man numbers.
Like Mark. said, you expecting to do any trading ?
Sat May 20, 2006 1:22 am
I don't really like Nick Van Exel. But it is your choice
With him and George, you will be stronger i guess.
Waiting for some trades man

Devean George and Nick the Quick..you could do worse. I think the signings aren't exceptional but they get the job done. Great way to add depth to your bench, I like it.
Sat May 20, 2006 7:33 am
As others said, you could have done (much, much) worse.... but pretty decent signings.
Sat May 20, 2006 8:37 am
Thanks guys. Ben Wallace wanted 12.72 M per year, while I only had 12.44 M. Fell just a little short of signing Big Ben!
Sat May 20, 2006 10:33 am
Ouch you almost sign Ben! Well Devean and Nick are good players, I think they will do good for you. Nice signings; looking forward to see who signed with the Heat
Sat May 20, 2006 5:44 pm
You were very close to Ben or not? Although you did sign some good players, last years team is better.

BTW, how did my eam became worse by signing these 2. Knights rating fell down from 72 to 68, he can't shoot very well and was maknig it up with assists. Feltons ratings got up high and now he's 75. Rush had a horrible season, and he has been released in real life, too. Burleson came back from NBDL and is doing much better.

Nice stuff dude, there were some weird signings out there :S esp Watson to Denver and Kandi man to Minny, altho I spose Minny needs a Center and if Dre didnt get resigned then Denver needs a PG............

Brevin Knight to Hornets... nice.
Thu May 25, 2006 11:33 am
It's pretty interesting that the Pistons didn't sign Big Ben, and nice free agent signings. You've got good team players.
