CHARLOTTE, NC - The Charlotte Bobcats had 6 Free Agents to sign or release during the offseason. Kareem Rush, Brevin Knight, James Jones, Reggie Evans, Matt Carroll and Jake Voskuhl awaited calls from their agents to tell them wether they got signed or got waived. "My main goal was to offer good contracts to Brevin Knight and Kareem Rush" - said Bobcats GM Ivan Shchipansky.

RELEASED
"We decided not to sign Kareem Rush" - said Ivan Shchipansky "He hasn't showed much in the season with very bad numbers and then his horrible performance in the playoffs proved that he doesn't belong to this team." Kareem Rush was offered a 1 year deal to prove that he is still worth something, but he said that he deserves a little bit more. "I think I contributed pretty good to the team, I can't believe they only want to sign me for 1 year." The Charlotte Bobcats decided not to resign Kareem Rush and wish him best of luck in the Free Agency.

Brevin Knight has a very good season with the Charlotte Bobcats. He averaged 11.8 PPG, 2.5 RPG and 8.4 APG. "We were looking forward to sign Brevin Knight, but no way we were gonna sign him to a large contract." - said Bobcats GM. "I believed that me and Bobcats will have a good future, but I think I'll get more money from another team" - said Brevin Knight. "I could've easily signed him to a 1 year or a 2 year deal, but 4 is too much. Brevin is getting older, and you never know what might happend. I played safe and decided to let him go."

There isn't much need to sign them. Quentin is putting up great numbers and he is my starting SG.
