wow! I for one have never thought of using the jumbotron to post stats....kickass! probably your most original idea yet. (Y)

Mon Oct 10, 2005 6:58 pm

I agree, the jumbotron is crazy!
It was well worth the wait, too bad you couldn't finish it off with a win.

Mon Oct 10, 2005 7:22 pm

HOLY SHIT, that's awesome!!! i knew you had something in the bag.. and it came out well

PS: I used that John Stockton tv show thing for my dynasty

Mon Oct 10, 2005 9:36 pm

Great recap, amazing jumbotron! Too bad you lost to the Wizards.

This is fantastic

Wow Devin112 this is amazing. Hi I'm new here, in fact I just signed up to tell you how much I enjoy your dynasty and this site. T think this stuff is awesome and the funny is I am not even a live fan but you guys definitely have me interested in your dynasties. Great job on just about everything but I do have one suggestion....

I am a hardcore Wolves fan and I gotta tell ya man, USE Cassell, lol. Maybe in live he isn't good or something but in real life that man can light a floor up from mid-range. He is probably a top ten mid-range shooter in the league and he is clutch! He has his problems but scoring isn't one of them. If you need some firepower from the point don't hesitate to throw him in the fray. I'm not sure how his defensive game is in Live however, if it's like real life it shouldn't be too great. Sammy was never a defender.

Anyway good luck and keep up the great work. I will be watching and enjoying!

Tue Oct 11, 2005 6:14 am

Shaun, thanks for love man. You energy always get's me going! I appreciate your enthusiaism!

The X, Thanks man. I think u're right, I just wanted to try it out at 11 first to see the results. I play a pretty slow set up type of game, I hate people who just fast break and dunk all the time. I like to slow it down and run plays, so I didn't want the simmed teams to get too far above my scores. But I think u're right, I'm going to check their stats over the next few games and adjust accordingly.

Thank Cocobee, I see that you have a new signature...Very NICE. Looks like you mean buisness! good luck, can't wait to see it.

Isaiah thanks man, it took me some time to figure out how to present my games. Remember how I had the TV shows? I figured it wouldn't work as good as this so I changed it up. I'll beat them next time, didn't expect that Arenas to go apeshit on me. lol

Null Thanks much man, I'm really surprised no ones done that before. I thought it was a good way to do it, cuzz it makes you feel a little bit more like you there at the game, versus a tv show or magazine. Thank you for the support, btw where are those JERSEYS?????

CK thanks again with ur help on the jerseys man, I really appreciate it. Could you make out the box scores? I think it's kinda small and hard to read huh?

JUGS u're alive! just noticed you finally updated ur dynasty, I've been dying to see an update. Thanks for the love man, I happy that I didn't disappoint you guys. I know the build up took a long arse time. also glad you found use of the Show :)

Heiks damn you and ur wizards! freaking Arenas was unreal, the guy barely missed. He was just on fire.

jxuusa Thanks for the love man, I remember coco's live cards too. I thought his dynasty was the the shit, so I'm glad that you guys think my dynasty is like his. I'll beat the crap out of who ever I play next, I PROMISE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111 lol

CB Appreciate the kind words, I'll do my best next game and represent!

kobe101 thanks man, but I'm really surprised no ones done it before.

Thierry, like Rasheed Wallace, I'm going to promise a victory next game! I'll deliever too!

KEAF, lol, thats very kind of you, thank you. makes all the work worth it.

nbalive744, doing what I can to please my dynasty peeps! :)

Shaun, F the dynasty, you rock bro! Once you get that camera, let me know, I'll help you out with ur dynasty. Love the trades you did too.

Okay, thank you to everyone who took the time out to post something. Makes the all the work worth it an pumps me up to better myself next time. Good luck with all ur dynasties too.

Right now I'm working on some jersey patches to release, I made the mistake of getting started in the Annoucement thread and now I got some other people to answer to! lol

Next update in here will probably be tomorrow night, maybe late this night.

Tue Oct 11, 2005 7:29 am

Tue Oct 11, 2005 1:14 pm

Your recap is indeed very artisitic, I also like the idea of using the jumbotron to post the stats. I must say that your dynasty is #1 in this NLSC forum. (Y) The best of the best.

Calinks

sorry I missed ur post first time around, but thank you for all ur kind words. I'm stoked that you posted in my thread first! lol, thanks a lot, that's hella cool. Stick around, I think we're gonna get you hooked on LIVE in not time. What other game can offer you this type of experience?

Yeah, I should of used Cassell I agree with ya. Should of ran more fastbreaks too, could of had it! THanks again, and welcome to teh board.

Kemp

That's very kind of you to say man, I really stoked you guys are enjoying it. I know this board has given me a lot of enjoyment so it's cool i can give back some.

Colickkyboy

Thanks man, i agree with the 12 mins :)

lol. Haven't really gotten back to my dyansty yet. Maybe this weekend when I finish all my exams....haven't actually made the jerseys yet

Wed Oct 12, 2005 8:12 am

Heh for a second there I thought you dind't like me, maybe because I said I don't play Live lol. Anyway, keep up the good work man. I'll be attedning everygame (I bought season tickets during the pre-season). Also I will have floor seats anytime you play Minnesota cause that's my team. Oh yea that article you wrote about KG made me  LOL. Hopefully they get a new GM in oyur fantsy and he turns the Wolves around! Can't wait for the next game, peace. 8-)

Wed Oct 12, 2005 2:47 pm

Good luck on those exams Null, are they midterms?

Calinks, sorry man I completely missed it. Just thought it was the regulars who came in here, but it's really cool to have you here. Keep an eye out on Cocobee's dynasty too, it's going to be really good. He's really creative and a good story teller, he's good at weaving very compelling fictional stories. I might try my hand at creating myself and putting myself into a 'storyline' too, instead of just doing NBA games. But that's next season, I have 27 more reg games then hopefully the playoffs.

CLIPPERS PREGAME SHOW:
Hello folks, this is Raplh Lawler, voice of YOUR LOS ANGELES CLIPPERS! The season opener didn't go as expected for the Clippers and to make issues worse, they're facing the San Antonio SPURS tonight. Just when you think things were getting bad, they get worse! Expect to see Sam Cassell in this game more, his ablity to run and point and score at the same time has to be exploited in this game if they hope to win. Now, THE GAME!

Image

First Quarter:
Right from the onset on the game, you can tell that these Clippers were on a mission and it didn't matter who was on the floor against them...not even the world champion San Antonio Spurs. This quarter belonged to the Clippers, from Kaman winning the tip off all the way to the final seconds of the first quarter. Clippers crashed the boards, threw their bodies all over the court for loose balls, and played defense like....the Spurs actually. Spurs looked very beatable first quarter, missing many shots. Maybe rust from the preseason or maybe the Clippers swarming defense and double teams. Clippers up by 3 points!

Second Quarter:
Clippers continiued their agressive play, Sam Cassell lead the second unit with the vertern leadership the Clippers so desperately needed. Rookie James Singleton played very impressively. Drove to the hole a few times for dunks and showed he could hit an open shot. CJ Miles showed some improvement today and didn't just settle on jumpers. Clearly, Coach Dunleavy preached being agressive and attacking the rim. Spurs shot blocking is the only thing keeping the game in reach.

CLIPPERS HALFTIME SHOW:
Wow, what a difference a couple of days make. Clippers played a lot more loose, more freewheeling, more SHOWTIME tonight. Coach Dunleavy should of proud of his boys, they put in a good half. One thing they have to be prepared for is the SPURS counter punch. They might of been startled with the Clippers initial attack, but POP will have his boys ready for the second half. Expect the defense to be stepped up and look for Tim Duncan to take matters in his own hands.

Third Quarter:
Spurs come out strong. Looks like Tony Parker has finally found his shot and is making up for lost time. Tim Duncan is taking over on both ends of the court, he's a complete monster on the boards already grabbing 12 boards with 3 blocks. Clippers look joulted, like somebody knocked the air out of their chest, just the window the Spurs needed to get in reach. Fourth quarter will be interesting.

Fourth Quarter:
Michael Finely is owning this quarter. He still has plenty left in the tank and is showing the Clippers that he can't be stopped. Pulling up and sinking threes or taking it to the rack for two. With Van Exel and Finely covering some of the slack on the offensive end, Tim Duncan is taking care of the defense. NO EASY points this quarter, every point the Clippers score has to be earned the hard way. The game is back and worth all the way to the end of regulation, a 3 pointer by Parker gets the Spurs up by two, Elton brand puts back a missed 3 piont attempt by Mobley to tie the game. IT's OVERTIME BABY!

OVERTIME:
This game is like a boxing main event. These two teams are trading blows back and forth, without new editions Cassell and Mobley, the Clippers would stand no chance. Clipper fans are on the edge of their seats, watching an awesome display of clutch shoot at the hands of Cassell. Even with Cassells display, the game needs another quarter to find a victor.
Griffin protecting tha house!

OVERTIME 2:
Punch, counter punch, duck, weave, then land the power blow. That's where Maggette comes in, he uses his uncanny ablity to get to the rim one way or another! Brand helps out with a few offensive boards to give the Clippers second chance opportunities. Cuttino Mobley puts the nail in the coffin with a 3 pointer and cues the fat lady, the game is OVER!

CLIPPERS POSTGAME SHOW:
Wow, just wow. What a game. The Clippers didn't simply just come out to play a game, they came to win and win at any cost. You knew the Spurs were going to mount a comeback after their less then great first half, the question was whether the Clippers could withstand the onslaught and then dish it back. Without the solid bench play of James Singleton and Sam Cassell, this more then likely would of resulted with another loss for the Clippers. The Spurs played some hard nosed defense, that's for sure. Duncan ended the game with 17 boards and 5 blocks. Still not enough, not when the other teams bench contributes 51 points. Story of the night isn't Maggette's player of the game accolade, but Livingston's 21 points off 9-12 shooting, 2-5 from 3 point range. A very good sign from him, maybe he'll get to hold on this his starting job after all. Okay folks, that's all for tonight. For more Clipper news read the Los Angeles Chronicle special feature tomorrow morning.
