all I want to say has already been said, thanks hova-
hova- wrote:East dominated, your presentation was good .. I think I dont like the ASW, too, because it takes a lot of effort, but you dont see any progress in your dynasty !
I really think we should all just scrap ASW from our dynasties, just tell people who made each team & who won contest (if we do it) & that's that

This is the first game for the Pistons and Spurs since the All Star break.
Both teams will be treating this as one of the most important games of the season,
as it is what many view as a potential finals match-up.
Detroit is undefeated so far this month and would like to take another perfect month in February.
Look for a heated match-up in this game, with there being no clear favourite.
Boxscores: [Spurs]|[Pistons]
Tim Duncan and the Spurs delivered the Pistons a big wake up call in tonights game.
The Pistons came up short tonight in front of a dissapointed home crowd.
The Spurs rallied behind a strong performance by All Star Tim Duncan,
which will make the Detroit big men take a second look at their suposed premiere defence.
The Pistons trailed for the whole first quarter before igniting and offensive run,
behind some great shooting from Rip Hamilton, to take a 6 point lead into the half.
However the Spurs came out of the break and went straight to Duncan,
who scored 15 of his 27 during the third to outscore the Pistons by 11 and take a 5 point lead into the 4th.
The Pistons made some good runs during the fourth, but could never complete the comebacks,
they ended up bringing the game to a tie with 15 seconds left,
but it was all too late as they had to foul Finley with 2 seconds left who hit both shots.
Tim Duncan was the clear POTG with 27 points on 11-17 shooting while also adding 10 boards.
Nick Van Exel was clutch for the Spurs, making 3 big 3's in the 4th en route to 18 points.
Rip Hamilton once agian provided effective offense for the Pistons with 28 points on 13-23 shooting.
Sheed had 18 points and 8 boards on 7-12 shooting, but struggled to get shots off.

Rip Hamilton was the only real bright spark for Detroit tonight as he continues his great offensive play.

Duncan and Parker worked well tonight, with most of Parkers assists on Duncan points.

Bowen played great D all over the court, wether it be getting in the way of a shot, or diving for the steal.
Next up: February Recap

Yeah well Bens win was a big supprise, I didnt even play that one, just watched them go at it, where as I played as Billups and sorta expected to win as I only had the shootout difficulty on All Star instead of my usual Superstar for gamesSam wrote:GOOOD.

Yeah it was a game mainly dominated by swingmen, when I played as either team, I always found those players to be hot, altho Vince and Bron scored most of theirs when I was playing as the east

Yeah there is really a lot of talent out East now, still no Wade, no Shaq :S The X wrote:I really think we should all just scrap ASW from our dynasties, just tell people who made each team & who won contest (if we do it) & that's that
Yeah im very keen to miss it out in my next season, maybe just give the results...

Cheers guys, it was a tough loss to the Spurs, but there arent many tough teams left, mainly only the West leading Grizzlies.
Monthly update might be tonight

The month of the February held few challenges for the Pistons.
The main games of note were the match up of last years finals, which the Pistons ended up just falling short in,
and the win against the Heat which was a match up of last years conference finals.
The team continued to play well with each player playing their part well.
Coach Flip Saunders started to give the rookies some more time, especially Jason Maxiell,
this was to see how they were adapting to the league and to minimise the risk of losing one of the key players.
The Stats of the Pistons players stayed mainly the same,
both Chauncy Billups and Rasheeds scoring dropped but this was mainly due to Rip Hamilton increasing his scoring.
Increase could be seen in some of the Detroit rookies averages as well.
THere hasnt been too much activity in the Conference standings as the top 3
in each conference stayed the same.
There was a minor reshuffle in the West race with Golden State Dropping out and Seattle Moving into the Picture.
In the East the top 8 remained the same with only the 10th and 9th places swapping round (ATL, BOS)
The Divisional Standings remained relativley the same due to the inactivity in the Conference pictures.
Note: MVP Canidates included also.
LeBron had a huge month as the Cavs continue to put pressure on the Pistons.
Elton Brand had a typical MVP month, but his Clippers are way out the playoff picture.
Andrew Bogut played how the Bucks invisioned him for their team, averaging a solid double double.
Rookie Sensation Chris Paul saw a lift in his numbers but his Bucks still havent found any rhythm
The leaders in the stats for the season remained pretty much the same.
T-Mac continues to average a career high, KG dominates the boards, followed by a young Dwight Howard.
The defensive stats are led by the Pistons, with 1 and 2 in Blocks and top in steals.
Billups continues his great leadership at the Point for the Pistons averagin nearly 10 a game now, and around 2 more than A.I.

With the All Star weekend out of the way, the Pistons are on the home straight now.
March poses a relativley easy month for Detroit, with the only apparent challenge being the Nets,
it will be interesting wether the Pistons try to slow the Nets or outshoot and outrun them,
with the new found offensive prowess of the Pistons, either way is a viable option.
This all being said, the Pistons will still have to try to stay focused to avoid any upsets.
Time for picks guys, this month is different, since they are small months remianing,
im gonna post the game recaps all in one go, so you just have to get your predictions in before that,
which im warning you will be soon, as ive already played the games
(dont try to read into my march preview as I worte it before I played the games).
If anyone is unsure of how this works, basically you have the option to try guess which games I will lose, ie:
Sit wrote:2-2 (Losses to Cavs and Mavs)
If you guess correctly you will be given 5 bonus points, however if you guess incorrectly you lose 5,
as you can see this is a gamble so if you are not really sure id advise not guessing
Also check below for the Leadersboard.

This month was full of oppurtunites to get points, and it showed why I made it
so if you missed any of the options throughout the season you dont get left too far behind
as there werent too many who participated in all the events.
Congrats to Laxation and Rongotai (rock on my Kiwi bro) who took a whopping 27 points from the All Star Weekend.
