Hey guys, I wanted to thank you for supporting my dynasty and all the encouragement.

I've tested the new roster and ran a few simulated seasons and everything's working.

I'm going to do 2 things tonite, present a Clippers Practice Scrimmage and then the Season Opener.

The scrimmage is to introduce you guys to the new guys: James Singleton, Yarik Korolev, CJ Miles.

Tonite you're going to see my new practice gear set, and then Clippers Alternate home or away jersey. But every game will be different, I really like the current ones so I plan on playing in them a lot.

Thanks again for hanging in there all these weeks as we go along, I will make this one special.

later today I'll post up the details of the dynasty. Short season, 29 games all played no simulations. Any recommendation in terms of how many mins in a real game played by me and then how many in for the computers simulated games? like 8 to 12?

YEA!! DUDE I CANT WAIT. I think you should do 10 minutes then work from there, if its low scoring or high scoring change it. But if its good scoring then keep it at 10. For computers Simulate Games do 12. If not then either 11 or 10. You should do the scrim now then start the season opener at like 6 ET or whatever time it is were u live. Good luck man, I cannot wait

It depends on how much time you have. Like I play only 6-8 minute quarters. It's up to yo. 12 Min seems a bit too long for me. I got better things to do.

By the way, good dynasty and I can't wait till next recap man.

Thanks Colickyboy, I was wondering where u were at! You have a fun dynasty to follow too, I check it everytime I get to the 05 forum, which isn't often due to starting this dynasty :(

I'm good with Adobe so that part of the dynasty is easy and fast, but the write ups! sheez it takes a while! lol that's the only hard part.

Okay guys, here's the last DAMN feature before opening nite later tonight. I just wanted to let u guys introduce you guys again to the players and how I plan on using them. The magazines were intended to do that, but the it's been a long time since then so I had to do this to get you guys aquainted again. I list plays and sets I'm going to using everyone in too, should be interesting. Give it a read and check out the new practice GEAR TOO! I really like the shorts, I own a pair and I wanted to put it in the game.

Hope you guys like it, I plan on doing the season opener tonite, that is if my GF let's me out easy to play :) and I'm not tussy whipped either, just been busy with schoool and midterms lately.

Clippers.com feature:
INSIDE THE CLIPPERS PRACTICE w/ Coach Mike Dunleavy Sr.

Image

Image 6-7 195 lbs Starting Point Guard
Image Last year Shaun came in at 185 lbs and that made him prone to injures hampering a promising rookie year. We got him coming in this year at 195-200 lbs, though not a whole lot, it's going to help him handle a 82 game season. Shaun's really picked up the entire offense, but loves to run OPTIONS where he has many options of possible free targets. A 10 assist season average is not out of reach for him this year with so many scoring threats.
Livingston working paint

Image 6-4 215 lbs Starting Shooting Guard
Image Cat's a vet, he's been on teams with a culture of success- Houston and the Kings. He has a deadly 3 point shot which we really could of used last year. His veteren leadership will make it easier for Corey and Elton to just perform, focus on playing basketball and let Cat be the vocal one. We expect big things from Cat this year, he also has the honor of being a rare big free agent signing for us. We've been working on a play called SINGLE DOUBLE where we have Cat and Corey pop open on either side for 3 points possiblities.
Mobley airing it out

Image 6-6 226 lbs Starting Small Forward
Image I think Corey is going to have a more well rounded season this year, with Mobley helping out on the perimeter offense, Corey can focus on doing what he does best and that's drive the lane and getting to the free throw line. Corey lead the league in getting to the free throw line per 48 mins and shot 86% when he got there. Corey's been practicing a play called ZIPPER where he has a few options, he cuts down the lane for a possible layup or comes back out to the outside and sets up for a shot. We also plan on running SCORER SF with him, where Shaun sets up on the right side, passes to Corey and EB comes up for a pick freeing him for a jumper or drive to the the rim.
Maggette getting open

Image 6-10 272 lbs Starting Power Forward
Image Do I really need to say anything for MR CLIPPER? He's been our man, the man for this team the past few seasons. He's worked as hard as anyone in the league and when we start winning I hope he get's the attention he deserves. Look for a MVP type season for him, with Mobley and Casell spreading the floor for him. With good spacing, you'll get open shots. EB loves to run POWER PF, basically an isolation play for him down on the left block where he has cutters on the right. He doesn't need picks or anything, he has the strength to push his man down low then create space.
Image

Image 7-0 265 lbs Starting Center
Image Chris or K-Man as his teammates have called him has been working really hard over the summer with Elton and Corey in Chicago with Jordan's old personal trainer Tim Grover. Playing center for us, he's our last line in terms of defence. What we really need him to do is block shots and board. He came in great condition and it showed, he plalyed really well in the Las Vegas Summer League winning him first team honors. Right now Kaman's favorite play in practice is SCORER CENTER, where everyone is on the left side of the court and EB sets him a screen to pop open under the rim.
Kaman."Not in my house brawh!"

Image Yaroslov Korolev 6-9 222 lbs Small Forward:
ImageWe see Yaro as a project, not saying he won't be able to produce this year. We just stocked our team with vets to make it easier for him, take some pressure off. We need to get him acclimated to the NBA game and NBA conditioning to avoid injuries. He's a smart kid, picked up our new offensive sets pretty fast. We think he's going to show flashes of what makes him one of the most talented prospects out of Europe this year. Yaro's has really picked up on a play called OPTIONS. It requires everyone to be active as one movement leads to another possibly opening up guys for everything from open shots under the bucket to open 3 pointers.
Korolev blowing past Livingston

Image 6-8 215 lbs Small Forward
Image We have one of the best scouts in Europe, the same one who brought Marko Jaric to our attention. After seeing the success that the Spurs have had with international players late in the draft we decided it was a smart move to follow their lead. In this case, it lead us to a very strong defender and rebounder in James Singleton. He didn't get a shot in the league so went off to Europe. He made a name for him self over there in Team Armani in Italy, winning season and tournament MVPS and awards. We plan on running PHILLY with James, it's basically a give and go with him and Shaun, it'll utilize his atheletics pretty well.
James Singleton working on this throws

Image 6-6 210 lbs Shooting Guard
Image
CJ is a project but we do expect him to contribute some right away. He's a highschooler so you have to expect his conditioning is no where near what it needs to be to play an 82 game season. His strength is weak and he needs to learn how to operate within the team offense. We've got a lot of plays for him, if he's able to fit in. We have SHOOTER B which requires him to run through baseline picks and spotting up in the right corner.
CJ Miles taking hard to the rim

Image 6-10 230 lbs Small Forward
Image Though he's technically a small forward we plan on playing him as a PF in our verison of SMALL BALL. He and Eddie Griffin have great touches for big guys and we plan on spreading the floor when they're out on the court. Look for him to get buckets in a play called BALANCE where he set's a pick for LIVY and then both he and Griffin become options for open shots.
McCarty fingaroll

Image 6-3 185 lbs Point Guard
Image Sam is just money at that mid range shot, something that will come in really handy late in the game. Look for Shaun to start games with Sam finishing them. Shaun is a better passer but Sam is a better offensive option late in the game. Look for him to run PLAYMAKER for himself, where Elton will set a nice hard pick freeing Sam for either a mid range jumper or possibly drive down the lane.
Cassell drive and finish

Image Eddie Griffin 6-10 240 lbs Power Forward/Center
Image Eddie's a real good shot blocker, but we need to work with him on his defensive awareness a bit. He's young and has a lot of potential. We really like his versatility out there on the floor, who else can block shots with the best of them and then show a nice stroke and touch from the 3 point line? Look for him to get plenty of mins behind Kaman, if his defense is on point then he'll most likley get more mins then Kaman. He does well in a play called MID POWER where he sets up Shaun with a pick in the middle of the floor, Shaun can then hit targets on the right side or go back to Griffin who's setting up for a shot.

Final Score: CLIPPERS TEAM A= 99 points CLIPPERS TEAM B=82 points

devin112, i was thinking of doing a scrimmage in my dynasty too. how'd you set up the lineups for your scrimmage? is that a set option in 06 or did you have to manually set it up?

You could just do Bulls vs. Bulls and edit the starting lineups.

I didn't think you could do that in dynasty mode (loading my dynasty roster for "regular" play)...?

his solution actually makes sense. I don't think Devin started with his dynasty yet. Most of this preseason stuff are just exhibition games

I did this outside of dynasty mode colickyboy, I plan on doing the adidas vs rbk game that way too.

Good call Null, you got it right!

You guys like the practice gear?
