Knicks resign Korver, Radmanovic
NEW YORK, July 10, 2005 -- The 2005 World Champion New York Knickerbockers reached agreements with Free Agent forwards Kyle Korver and Vladamir Radmanovic.
Kyle Korver signed a 2 year deal worth 4.16 million. Vladamir Radmanovic resigned for 25.18 million, a six-year deal.
Korver, 6-6, 211-pounds, averaged 4.5 points and 1.5 rebounds for New York this past season. Originally signed as a free agent on November 17, Korver was traded along with Kevin Garnett and Glen Rice on December 11 in a deal for Tracy McGrady and Robert Swift. In his second tour of duty this season with the Knicks, Korver was reacquired from Houston on February 25 in a trade deadline deal, and the second-year man finished the season appearing in 40 of the Knicks 82-season games. Kyle Korver was critical in the Knicks run for the title starting in each Playoff game.
Radmanovic, 6-10, 234-pounds, averaged 12 points, 5.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.04 steals for New York. Originally acquired from Charlotte on February 1 in exchange for Fred Hoidberg, Mark Madsen, and Udonis Haslem, Radmanovic finished the season's final 38 games as a Knick. Whether, he was coming off the bench or started, Vladamir Radmanovic(like Korver) was a big part of the Knicks Championship squad.
