Denver Nuggets (14-13) @ Los Angeles Lakers (18-12)

Kobe Bryant led the Lakers in the 2nd half,
scoring 19 of his 25 in that half to pull away
from the Nuggets.

Los Angeles Lakers jumped to an early lead but the Nuggets crawled back and tied the game at 16-all. Then it was Nuggets turned to make a run and finished the 1st quarter strong and took a 24-19 lead. In the 2nd quarter, Odom scored 10 points to help the Lakers came closer but Miller counters it by making 3 straight baskets. At halftime, the Nuggets still lead by 3 points, 50-47.

In the 3rd period, Bryant scored 16 points to help the Lakers erased the deficit and took the lead with 3 minutes left in the period. It also put the Lakers on top by 9, 79-70 going to the 4th period. In the last canto, Lakers completely pull away and extended the lead to 19 points, 99-80. Things gone worst for the Nuggets when Carmelo Anthony got injured with just 18 seconds left and the game already been decided. Lakers extended their winning streak to 4 games with this 105-92 win.

Los Angeles Lakers (19-12) @ Phoenix Suns (17-13)

Chris Andersen had a good all-around game,
tallying team-high 23 points and grabbing
10 rebounds.

The game was close in the 1st quarter with both teams trading baskets and no teams lead more than 5 points. At the end of the quarter, the game was tied at 23-all. Nash and Richardson scored 7 points each while Odom led the Lakers with 7 points. In the 2nd period, Lakers found unlikely heroes in Alston and Andersen to put the Lakers up by 14 points. But it was Lakers defense that helped the Lakers be on top in the game. They limited the Suns to only 37 points in this half for a 47-37 lead at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, Lakers continue to lead the game with Mihm and Jacobsen giving the Lakers the needed offense. Suns, on the other hand was led by Johnson and Richardson with Amare Stoudemire struggling with foul trouble. At the end of the period, Lakers were still enjoying a 76-69 lead. Nash then led a 10-0 run at the start of the 4th quarter to helped them tied the game at 75-all. Lakers only lead by 1 point 93-92 going to the last 2 minutes of the game. Mihm then made crucial basket down the stretch and Bryant made free-throws to win this game, 108-102 for their 5th straight wins.

Los Angeles Lakers (20-12) @ Golden state Warriors (6-24)

Image
Another solid game for Chris Mihm esp. on
defense, grabbing 11 boards and 3 block
to go along with his 9 points.

Lakers were surprise to see warriors jumped to an early 5 point lead in the 1st period. Lakers were struggling making basket as they saw Warriors lead ballooned to 15 points. Dunleavy then lead a run to end the quarter strong for a 36-18 lead. Warriors extended the lead to 20 points, 40-20 in the 2nd period. But Lakers using a balance scoring and great defense slowly came back in the game. They successfully cut the lead to half with a minute left in the 1st half. At halftime, Warriors lead was only 9 points, 52-43.

In the 3rd quarter, Lakers continue to cut the deficit with Bryant leading the charge for the Lakers. He scored 16 points after scoring just 4 points in the 1st half. Fortson and Claxton helped the Warriors to maintain their lead. At the end of the 3rd period, Warriors now only lead by 2 points, 82-80. Lakers tied the game just 30 seconds gone in the 4th period. Then Lakers grabbed the lead for good, leading by 3 points most of the way. In the end, Lakers escape a win with the score of 114-112. Bryant finished with 30 points and 10 assists in leading Lakers to its 6th straight victories.

Los Angeles Lakers (21-12) @ New Jersey Nets (19-14)

Image
Kobe Bryant had another great all-around
game to led the Lakers to their 7th straight
victories this season.

Lakers started the game with great defense. They forced the Nets to miss some easy shot to put them on top by 7-0. Lakers were glad when both Kidd and Carter were called for 2 straight foul. Without 2 of their best players, Nets struggles executing their offense. And with Lakers doing great defense, Nets were limited to only 9 1st quarter points. Lakers led, 24-9 going in the 2nd period. Lakers then extended their lead to 20 points, 31-11. But after that, Nets got their bearing back and slowly cut the deficit. Lakers still led 39-26 at halftime.

In the 3rd quarter, Lakers protected their double digit lead and despite Carter taking charge for the Nets, they only able to cut the deficit to 9 points. Lakers still led by 11 points, 61-50 at the end of the period. But in the 4th period, Nets led by the trio of Kidd, Carter and Jefferson came back in the game. Lakers also missed consecutive shots to help the Nets came back. Nets cut the deficit to 6 points with less than 3 minutes left and tied the game at 71-all with 1:35 left in the game. Things gone wrong for the Nets when both Carter and Kidd fouled out, giving them limited option on offense down the stretch. Lakers again win, 83-77. Bryant again led his team with 31 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. This will be the longest winning streak of Lakers in the past 2 seasons.

The game against the Nets was very low scoring. You did go 3-0 in the update though. The Warriors almost gave you a serious upset too, but you were able to pull it out. (Y)

damn, the Bird Man is destroying everyone  :D

one pointer though, in future can you please change that bold yellow text that says boxscores, player of game etc to a different colour?!? I know it fits in with Lakers colour, but is a bit of an eyesore to look at, and a different colour that is a little more easy on the eyes would be good 8-)

you've really started to put some W's together....I guess you are looking at keeping that top billing on the Birdie Board (Y)

yeah, when i limited the Nets to 9 points in the 1st period, i decided to make it a low scoring game.. and i laso got some scoring drought in the final period.
actually it was a 4 game update and i was 4-0.
i have a habit of playing relax against team that sucks

 thanks for the correction....
i made the Nets update about 3 A.M. so i'm kinda sleepy that moment. i edit it already.

he's becoming an offensive option on my Lakers team... i never thought he will fit on how i play the game.
i try looking for another color...
well i'm finally found the right line-up and rotation for my Lakers....
i don't know about the Birdie board but i think it will go down since i gave up Grant birdie points for nothing...
