New Jersey Nets (9-6) @ Los Angeles Lakers (11-3)

Game Preview

After matching their longest winning this season, Lakers will try to extend it to 5 games as they host the New Jersey Nets. In their last game, Lakers were lucky to win that game after struggling throughout the game. Lamar Odom single-handedly put back the Lakers after trailing in the 4th quarter. Bryant then made all crucial free-throws to seal the victory.

New Jersey Nets are on a 2-game winning streak. In their last game, ^ Nets players scored in double –figures including newly signed Will Sit. Tiago Splitter also grabbed 10 rebounds in that game while Krstic led his team in scoring with 16 points.

Lakers wingmen will be on a tough task in stopping what could be the most athletic wingmen duo in NBA today. Carter and Jefferson along with Kidd will give enough trouble for the Lakers.

Game Recap

Richard Jefferson scored 30 points to
compliment Kidd superb game, who scored
season-high 44 points.

Lakers started the game with a pair of basket to lead 4-0. Nets answered it with 4 points to tie the game. Then after making a 3-point shot, Lakers missed their next 7 shots. Nets never wasted the opportunity and they built a 21-7 lead with 2 ½ minutes left in the quarter. The 1st quarter ended with Lakers only scored 11 points and trailed 26-11. Lakers somehow got their bearing in the 2nd quarter. Lakers bench played better basketball than their starter as they slowly cut the deficit to ingle digit. But Kidd led a Nets run to put their lead back to 10 points. Both team then traded basket most of this period. Nets hold a 48-38 lead at halftime. Kidd led all scorers with 20 points but have 0 assist. Milicic led the Lakers with his 7 points.

Coach Phil saw Lakers were playing with lack of intensity and decided to start Chris Andersen in the 2nd half. Andersen gave the needed energy and hustle which rub off to his teammates. They slowly crawled back in the game and only trailed 56-55 with 3:41 left in the 3rd period. Santos windmill dunk tied the game at 66-all, with less than 1 minute in 3rd. Lakers continued to play great in the 2nd half and tasted their first lead at 76-75 form a Bryant 3-point play. Lakers controlled the game from that moment and were on their way for their 5 straight win. But the Nets have other plan. Trailing by 5 points with 9.4 left, Kidd made a quick jumpshot to cut the deficit to 3 points, 102-99 just 2.4 seconds left. Lakers called a timeout to advance the ball at midcourt. But Jefferson stole the inbound pass and throws a desperation shot near the midcourt. It went it to tie the game 102-all les than a second left.

you press the "print screen" button on your keyboard to take a screenshot. Don't sweat it man, I didn't know how to take a screenshot since recently :?

Anyway, this dynasty is always one of the best in the forums man. Keep it up. Micchy Boy you have to teach me how to make my dynasty as good as yours.

Los Angeles Lakers (11-4) @ Utah Jazz (7-8)

Game Preview

Lakers are 3-0 when coming off a loss, and they will try to stay perfect as they visit the Utah Jazz. Nets snapped Lakers 4 game winning streak, stealing that game in overtime. Lakers were on their way in winning that game but a crucial mistake and lucky shot cause them the game.

Utah Jazz are on a 3 game losing skid. They are struggling lately, having a record of 1-6 in their last 7 games. The starting frontcourt of Jazz are simply great. Boozer, Okur and Kirilenko are all averaging almost double-double. Boozer led the team both in scoring and rebounding. The only problem for this team was the lack of quality back-up in their frontcourt.

Lakers frontcourt will need to hold their selves against the Jazz frontcourt. Bench from each team will be a great factor in this game. Lakers having a deep bench gave them the advantage.

Game Recap

Image
Lamar Odom had a great game, finishing with
17 points and 20 rebounds before getting
injured late in the game

Both teams struggle with their shooting early in the game. Lakers missed 5 consecutive baskets while the Jazz were unable to score for almost 3 minutes. Jazz were 37.5% (6-16) from the field while the Lakers only shot 33% (7-21), scoring 18 in this quarter. Lakers hold an 18-15 advantage after the 1st quarter. Mihm had a great game scoring 9 points in this quarter. Lakers continue to struggles with their shooting, missing their first 4 shots of the quarter. This helped the Jazz to grab the lead at 25-24 midway of the quarter. But Lakers recovered and got the lead back. Lakers only lead by 1, 35-34 at halftime. Lakers shots 20% in the 2nd quarter.

In the 3rd period, Lakers shots completely the opposite in the 1st half. Lakers made 11 of his 18 shots in this quarter. But the Jazz had more free-throws in this quarter that helped them to hold a 2 point lead, 60-58. Bryant was unstoppable, scoring 11 points while Odom took care in grabbing rebounds. Odom already had 15 rebounds with one quarter left to play. In the final period, Odom focused more on scoring. He led Lakers a 10-0 run to give the Lakers a 68-60 lead at the start of the 4th quarter. But the Jazz again crawled back into the game and cu the deficit to 2, 76-74 with 2 minutes left in the game. Odom already had 17 points and 20 rebounds, got injured at 1:44 mark. The injury was not serious but he was unable to come back in the game. Milicic replaced him but missed both free-throws. Jazz only scored 3 points after that and allowed Lakers to scored 6 points and Lakers led, 84-77, 15 seconds and the game already been decided. Santos drove to the basket, got foul hard by Humphries and sustained a back injury. Lakers win this 87-79 with Odom leading the team with 17 points and 20 big rebounds. Both Odom and Santos will undergo MRI to know more about their injuries. Bryant led the team with 25 points and Mihm also finished with double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Giricek recovered from foul trouble to lead the Jazz with 17 points while Cyriel Klitsie came off the bench to scored 14 points.
