I'm sorry, I still do not see how this version is that much different than 08. If there is some distinction between the two, it is a distinction without a difference.

Let me ask this: I assume 09 for PS3- like 08- will come without sliders; so what determines the nuances in the different aspects of game-play? Are you telling me that the one available adjuster determines all those finer points of the game-play, i.e., dunk v. layup, foul frequency, shooting accuracy, rebounding on O & D, double team effectiveness, etc? How is that possible? How can giving that much discretion to the AI be an improvement? There is no way you can get the quality of game-play available through sliders when you replace them with one adjuster- next gen AI or not.

Mr Officer. . . .This game already looks light years ahead of 08. You can block from behind and the ball doesn't fly out of bounds LOL. There's a lot more animations, and the dunks look a whole lot better. It's pretty much 08 with a lot of improvements, which is not necessarily a bad thing.

From what I seen, this game looks playable and has a lot of fun value. I hope it brings back my old school rivalry with my bro, if not, 2k will be the game lol. But I loved what I saw

Edit: The only thing I don't like is the WARPING.

Game looks good but I didn't see enough of a mid range game. Almost everything was close to the rim.

That's probably because you got two cheesers playing. Mid range game, unfortunately, doesn't sell basketball games, but it does help win NBA titles in real life.

Just ask Rip Hamilton.

Really? I do not know about light years. Let me take another look at this thing; when I played the vid the streaming was a bit inconsistent. Maybe that affected my impression.

What is WARPING?

Look at the LeBron reverse dunk. He like warps to the basket. I think you can clean it up by messin with the ratings of the players, I did it last year.

Edit: Maybe not lightyears, but the game looks way more fluid than last years, that's for sure!!!

lol at Gibsons layup from the 3 point line .. so NBA Live

It does look very very smooth though. The passing on the fastbreak, I love it. Still, it looks way too arcadish, I know that two humans are playing, but they were both going to the rim at will. I don't really see more collison animations (ok, I don't know how it was in 08), it just doesn't look right to me. Also I don't like the players' shooting animations, they look .. dunno .. cramped.

Maybe a video of CPU vs CPU would convince me, maybe the demo will ..
