Looking at the video, seems like there's lots of reference to the DNA scouting, which the game will be paused every now and then... Just wondering if this will take the enjoyment out of playing the game

Still doesn't look as good as the 2K9 I saw linked elsewhere on the forum.

I hate myself for being able to see five year old "Live" and "2K" animations in both games still.

As Ben said, the pausing is just for demonstration purposes; it doesn't do it automatically. Scouting Player DNA might offer some users an advantage but if you don't want to bother with it you don't have to. You'll get an idea of player tendencies and whatnot simply from playing the game, checking it out in advance just gives you a heads up.
