They could have put JErmaine Anderson in the game lol. Instead they pt Steve Nash. Why not have them both.

If this is one of the soundtracks in the game, it is awesome. I loved it.

The lineups are all wrong! Just look at the USA lineup.
USA C Amare Stoudemire 92
USA PF Dwight Howard 89
USA SF LeBron James 97
USA SG Kobe Bryant 97
USA PG Chris Paul 93

And Slovenian lineup... Smodiš at 3?! And with rating 65? For god's sake, he's the best PF in whole Europe! Vujačič and Udrih didn't play for their national team for two years now!

As long as the 12 man roster is correct for Team USA, correcting the starting lineup isn't a big deal. Such adjustments may even be made before the game ships.

Anyway, good looking out huddy. (Y)

Girićek is not playing for Croatia and Kasun has problems with his heart.

Croatia C Mario Kasun 62
Croatia PF Nikola Prkacin 70
Croatia SF Zoran Planinic 69
Croatia SG Gordan Giricek 70
Croatia PG Marko Popovic 69

For the OLYMPICS

C Stanko Barać 62
PF Nikša Prkaćin 70
SF Zoran Planinić 70 at least (4 million contract for CSKA MOSKOW!)
SG Marko Tomas 70 (THE BEST PLAYER ON THE TEAM look at his stats on the qualifications for Beijing!)
PG Roko Ukić 70 (Better PG than popovic now playing for the Raptors)
AND for Serbia Stojakovič isn't playing for three years!

Saw this and I'm looking forward to seeing more gameplay footage. Developers said they worked on the simple dunks and player physics, so.........bring it on!

There is indeed a nice array of simple dunks in the game this year, I was probably more excited to see them than the more spectacular ones.

It's the simple things....

Postby qwomack74 on Fri Aug 01, 2008 12:49 am

I love having spectacular or show-time dunks reserved for the players that can pull it off. (Vince C, Josh Smith, D-Wade, King James….etc) I remember when (show my age) when John Stockton would come down in Lakers vs. Celtics and dunk………are you kidding me? But this is something that adds to the realism of the game. Save all the “between the legs….. twice” for the dunk contest. No matter how good or amazing it looks, it takes away from the game play when any of the guys above do it on 2 or 3 big men.

No question, big dunks are fun too. But there's some really nice simple dunks in NBA Live 09 that look fantastic.

I wouldn't go that far but they did fall short in terms of collision detection.

Being new to the board and not reading all the posts, have you played an earlier build of the game yet Andrew?

Olympic hopefuls

Postby qwomack74 on Sat Aug 02, 2008 2:25 am

Speaking of Olympics (since were in this thread) Everyone see how Team USA is dominating so far? Today/Last night they beat Lithuania 120-84. Next game is Russia......shouldn't be a problem. Glad to see Dwayne Wade is back, I was worried about him last year.

Ilgauskas for Lithaunia haven't played 11 years, why he is where? Siskauskas 69? He is Euroleague MVP. Jasikevicius 68?

LoL TRUE! Maybe when the NBA goes global (mark my words it will go global people) the balance of power will be equally ditributed so that Euro players will have better teams.
