can some body tell me if there is going to be shot timing like in 07 because all the videos that i have seen it looks like you just press the shot button and the ball goes in the air

Yes, there will be shot control, meaning you can time your shot for an early release or a late one.

It's pretty cool this year too since a poor release will result in a flatter shot or if you really mess up the timing, an airball.

I think that having shot control will make the gameplay more challenging, more realistic, and more enjoyable than it was in NBA Live '08.

It's definitely better to have that control over the shot, though out of habit I'd still hold and release the shoot button in NBA Live 08.
