Roster Cutoff Date

Postby dascoot on Wed Jul 23, 2008 2:34 pm

I wonder when the Roster Cutoff Date will be for Live 09. Hopefully most of the good rookies ( Mayo, Rose, Beasley, Love, Augustine, Hibbert, Greene, Chalmbers, DeAndre Jordan, Rush, Kaun, Westbrook, Gallineri, Bayless are my favorite rookies that I hope to see in the game)

It gets earlier and earlier every year. :x I hope the daily updates fix the rosters.

Joejam999,

With NBA Live365, outdated rosters should be a thing of the past.

Is it confirmed that they update the rosters with the daily updates not just the ratings and tendencies?

JoeJam999,

If I understand correctly, there will be regular roster updates especially involving any trades, injuries, etc. I'm not sure if it's daily like the Dynamic DNA stuff, but it will be on a regular basis.

I sure hope so. The one thing I hated about 2k8 was they only had two roster updates. That just does not cut it. Sure you can download some but you cant use them online.

Joejam999,

You'll have the choice to either automatically update
NBA Live 365/Dynamic DNA data or you can just set it to manual and pick which updates you want. Pretty cool option to have, in my opinion.

I know, it's odd that the NBA chooses to lock the rosters so early since they're the ones that dictate the cutoff. I'm not sure if new players will be added daily where necessary but as I understand it there will be regular roster updates which will include placeholder players until a new update comes that adds their correct appearance; presumably they'll use a generic face similar to the generated rookies until then.

wow July 15th that is real early. I think August 15th would be better or even August 1st would be fine.

No argument here. Again, I'm not sure why the NBA insists on the early cutoff.
