They should include Superstar mode (like in madden 08) with everygame because that is a great feature to play. I sometimes like to play as just one player instead of the whole team.

Well, Be a Pro Mode is going to be in NBA Live 09. That could be the first step towards NBA Live having a single player career mode, for now though it's just a single game mode.

What I don't like about dynasty mode is that there is no actual practice.
