NBA Live 09 Community Day Coverage

Postby Andrew on Wed Jul 09, 2008 12:32 pm

With the embargo on (certain) features lifted, I can now post my reports from the NBA Live 09 Community Day, held June 25th-27th at EA Sports' studios in Burnaby, BC. You can check out the entire coverage here:

NBA Live 09 Community Day Coverage

Please note that there is currently still an embargo on online features as well as the ground-breaking feature. As soon as the embargo is lifted, I'll be posting my thoughts and information on those aspects as well, in addition to my overall impressions of the game.

I hope you enjoy the coverage. I would like to stress that I have given my honest opinions of the game and that everyone who attended the event gave their share of constructive criticism and feedback to the producers. I'd also like to stress that as much time as we had to play the game, it's never really enough and given that this was an early build, changes are bound to be made by the final version which may include issues that were not present in the version I played.

UPDATE (15/7/08): The embargo on the ground-breaking feature, NBA Live 365, has been lifted. You can check out my report here.

Yeah, thank you for the write-up Andrew. It seems that the Dynasty Mode is adapting to all of 2K's features, and that it should be another decent, albeit not great game.

It's too soon to make a call on whether or not NBA Live '09 will be great, but one things for sure: it's gonna be a significant improvement from '08.
