New Free Agent Options,D-League and Trades

Postby Baller08 on Mon Jun 30, 2008 5:20 am

Dont you guys think that the free agency should have more options like 10 day contacts or Bird Rights.Dont u guys also think we should be able to assign people to the D-League and bring them back when needed.

Another thing is they should add three team trade so we can make a Cleveland type trade or something. And also when we make trades we can offer draf picks like if were in 2009 we can offer them our first round picks from 2010

Those are all great ideas. I'm sure that if Live '09 doesn't incorporate them, then maybe NBA Live 2010 will at least consider it...

I think D-league is few years off, it just needs a lot of work, so better make it good and take few years, than make it fast and sucky. Probably around 2013-2014 I think. Other ideas has been already suggested already too, but those could be done more of near future

It's NBA Live, not D-League or whatever.. It's the same asking for an option to send players to WNBA, it's just not important to the game.

I guess but a D-league pool would be a nice addition

If they can do it in real life, why would it be such a bad option to be able to do it in the game and be able to play as extra teams too?

i dont get it with some people, why is more bad..
Opinions are my own.

lol, its nothing like that at all.

The D-League plays a big part in player development in the real NBA, even if there was just a virtual option to send players to the D-League, its a good idea, and beats the hell out of the lame training camp player development system we've been stuck with the last NBA Live games.

Would definately add a more realistic factor to the game.

If they can put FIBA in the game, then there is no reason why there couldn't be a D-League subsidiary also.

I like the idea of sending a player down to the D-League. You could have more than 15 players and send the remaining players down the D-League. I'd like to be able to have more than 15 players and decide which 15 will be on my team. I also like the 10 day contract and trading for future draft picks. I'd also like to be able to pull a trade on draft night too.

Yeah I like that idea trading draft picks rights during the draft.Amd also other trades that we can pull off like the Richard Jefferson-Yi Jianlian Trade.

I can't see why NBA Live cannot have a D-League or something.

MVP had AAA and AA leagues for their MLB games, and they have way more players in a baseball team than a basketball team.

Good point, Isaiah. I agree that they should have the D-League as part of NBA Live.

Sorry to bump this, but I just had to point this out. Its too funny. Yeah because on a regular basis NBA teams assign players to the WNBA and on occasion call up new WNBA players right? haha

Having the D-League for development purposes definitely would be cool, though I can understand how it may not be a top priority for them. No doubt if they went ahead and added it, they'd be a fair amount of people who would complain "Why did they put te D-League in the game and do nothing about the gameplay?" Year to year, some things just aren't going to make the cut.

The idea of including the D-League was brought up at the Community Event however and the producers did seem very receptive of the idea. Hopefully it becomes a reality at some point.
