NBA LIVE Yearly Coverboy Prediction -NBA LIVE 09-

Postby McDwyane on Mon Oct 15, 2007 9:17 pm

Still, nba live 08 isn't released in some areas and i know it's early for live 09 but let's make a prediction who will be the live 09 coverboy. You can have a player and the kind of jersey he's wearing..This thread will go yearly.

Here's mine:The NBA LIVE 09 coverboy is................LeBron James!
He will be wearing the cavs alternate jersey in nba live 09.

So guys,if you think this is a bad idea,go lock it.

It's probably a bit early to talking about but since you brought it up, LeBron James is probably a decent guess since he was supposedly one of the choices this year before Arenas ultimately got the nod.

Nah, KG's got his 2001.

But yeah, LeBron James. Is it too late for Allen Iverson?

Iverson was on ESPN Basketball for 2k's 2004 year. I dunno if that means he can't be on a EA cover or not.

As long as he's not under contract with anyone else it probably won't be an issue. After all, Shaquille O'Neal has appeared on the covers of NBA Live and NBA 2K, albeit some ten years apart.

Recent trend shows that the injured star gets the cover.

Elton Brand.

Maybe Bosh? or Dwight Howard. One of those "Rising" Stars.

I'd say those are two good possibilities as well.

Either Bosh or Brandan Wright for some odd reason. Or Al Horford, he's getting hype.

But for some reason, Caron Butler was one of my BIG choices. He still is. :?

Caron Butler's a fine player but he doesn't strike me as the kind of player EA would seek out to put the cover as he's probably not as well-known amongst more casual fans and thus would be less marketable.

Butler won't make it because he isn't very marketable, and is the second fiddle (possibly third) on a mediocre team.

My guesses are currently: Bosh, Baron, LeBron

I'd say it's going to be either Bosh or Brand....although it makes more sense if it is Bosh....Bosh fits the young, up & coming player, will fit in with the direction the NBA Live franchise wants to take....he plays in Canada as well....

I wouldn't be too surprised if it's Bosh since he's a logical candidate but I'd be more inclined to pick LeBron at this point as I think he'd sell more copies to casual gamers.

it will probably be lebron because hes pretty famous.

even tho he hasnt played an nba game yet or not as famous to casual gamers, it would be great to have oden and his 60 face on the cover
