Exactly, when NBA live 08 came out i was all excited to hear gilbert was on the cover...then after about a month it would slip my mind who the cover boy was...i dont really pay tht much attention to it

Just find a better cover on thenet, many people have created custom covers. Find a color printer, print it, cut it out and put it over the official cover.

I'm a huge Spurs fan, and I'm really happy for Tony getting the cover; though I do admit that I was very surprised when he got it. Tony is a winner, but I agree that someone like LeBron or Kobe would be the logical choice, to be more marketable.

I don't care that you don't like the Spurs, or don't like Tony Parker (Tony Longoria? I think your jealous!) it is just stupid saying he is a bad player. So therefore anyone who has won three championships, got Finals MVP and a two-time All-Star is bad at basketball?

I personally find that Gilbert Arenas is totally arrogant, but I didn't go have a cry on some forums when he made Cover 08. I totally agree that its about the game, and if you want to not buy the game cause Tony is on the cover, then we don't want you.

I'm not sure how much I can really say about it but it seems that LeBron and Kobe are too difficult to get to be on the cover so it's unlikely we'll be seeing them on the Live box anytime soon. Apparently Tony Parker was pretty enthusiastic about being the cover player and he's a more than noteworthy player in the league, so here we are.

Quite frankly, it doesn't matter who's on the cover. Since you can tear it off and replace it after you buy the game. :mrgreen:

But, is it just me or has the cover athlete on Live been a guard every single time since 05? (Wade, McGrady, Arenas, Parker)

The real reason is that Parker was already signed with EA anyway, so I guess it was quite easy to get him on the cover.

Parker is on the french cover. It just happened, that Parker is on the international cover also.

I'm guessing Parker will appear on the French cover as well. The only other cover players that were announced are Gasol, Deng and Nowitzki.

He's a swingman but he's been listed as a guard since the Rockets traded for Battier a couple of years ago and became their starting small forward.

I don't follow the NFL but I did hear that and it's certainly a unique situation, first picking a cover player who was retired and then possibly having him come out of retirement for another team. Presumably they'd update the cover photo if that happened.

favre on the cover was a stupid move, and most of the people dont like him now because of his constant change of plans, first because of retirement, then 2nd he announces he wants back in a day later, then 3rd he wants with the packers, 4th not with them, 5th with them etc. . i see rumors flying evrywhere about him signing with the vikings, the bucs, even with the bears! its annoying to even listen to that shit. not to mention im one of those "peoples"
