Talk about NBA Live 09 here.

Back with good news =D
Won the championship in 09-10, but my team was really weak going into the offseason, we just managed to squeeze by the Lakers (in a repeat of the 08-09 Finals). Wade won Finals MVP again.
Started 10-11 doubting my chances for a playoff spot, but luckily I had 4 players leaving the team, didn't re-sign any of them, had a 13 million cap going into the draft. Got 16th pick even after winning the championship, and managed to pull out two good PGs/SGs. The free-agency was where things got good. PF H. Turkoglu was a free agent, managed to sign him, and got the depth I needed downlow.
Simmed through the season, finished first in the East, and best record in the league, by far at 63-19. Lakers second in the league at 52-30. Heading to the playoffs =D
Starting Five:
C - D. Diop [72]
PF - H. Turkoglu [77]
SF - B. Diaw [75]
SG - D. Wade [96]
PG - D. Rose [87]
I also really like my bench, we got some great younger guys that could really develop. A. Randolph is my sixth man, at 74.

Yeah I think your ohter team was better but that ones good to a this is my 8 year old brothers dynasty with the lakers he plays with cap space off ( S5)
C - Shaq
PF - Yao
SF - Andrew Bynum
SG - Kobe
PG -Vince Carter
he plays on starter and is 3-0
Mon Mar 02, 2009 11:35 pm
My older team was definitely better, but I wanted more of a challenge so I picked a less successful team than the Suns =P
This team actually, you know, loses, haha.

Wow! Cap space off? What system do you have? I've never heard of the cap space off option before. By the way, this team is nice, vc at the point? Who's your backup pg?
Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:18 am
yeah vc shouldn't be point
Tue Mar 03, 2009 12:13 pm
@Cleveland: The PS3 has that option. Not sure Robert is playing it on the PS3, but I saw it on mine.
I signed VC as a free agent a while back as my backup SG (in like 11-12, so he was 73) and traded him for Manu

Isn't javale either that rookie? Or a 5 or 6 year pro? I've seen him before but i forgot how long he's been playing. Jason kidd as a backup is very good, great passer. How is your team doing? And who's the main scorer? I would guess beasley?
Wed Mar 04, 2009 9:14 am
JaVale McGee is a rookie this year (2008/2009).
Wed Mar 04, 2009 12:52 pm
McGee is a rookie...we got off to a slow start but are now on a 6 game winnin streak sittin in 6th place only 1.5 games from 1st place...I've actually stopped playin kidd and since then we've been playin good.
Leadin scorer is actually gay with 12 points a game I might trade him tho
Thu Mar 05, 2009 2:33 am
I have traded gay to atlanta for josh smith and 2nd rd pick. I waived jason kidd ( I don't knw y lol) detroit picked him up and I decided to play thompson instead of nene at backup center and he has been really good....anyone knw who I can trade for nene he's rated 74...29yrs old and last yr of 10 mil contract...if not ill juss hold on to him

What position are you looking for? Maybe if marvin williams, if he's at least 9million or so. And what kind of player are you looking for? Offensive or defense?
Thu Mar 05, 2009 5:09 am
Good suggestion buh I tried to get marvin williams with no luck perhaps anthony randolph & filler or brandon wright...just any good young player with potential...its still early in the season so maybe later b4 the deadline I can trade 2 or 3 2nrd picks for a 1st rd and then package 1st rders with nene for someone

Okay, so after some weird deals this post-season, here's my 12-13 lineup:
C - Diop [71] <-- I know he stinks, I've been trying to get a good center for ages -_- Thankfully his contract finally expires after this season.
PF - A. Randolph [78] <-- This one has been rising quickly, is young, and a good player. I know it'd be best to keep him at SF but...
SF - Lebron James [99] <-- For some reason the computer took my 31 year old Wade [97] for The King. It left me a little weak at SG, and I know that.
SG - T-Mac [81] <-- Managed to trade for him as kind of a last-ditch effort to get a decent SG

Expires in 2 years. Manu is his backup at 74, and expires after this season.
PG - Rose [91] <-- <3
I'm not sure if to trade T-Mac for Pau (Age: 32, 80 overall), and ride the season out with Manu and hope to get a good free agent SG next off-season.
I have a save at the playoffs end right before the offseason, so if anyone thinks I made horrible choices, let me know
Thu Mar 05, 2009 10:01 am
Well the line up is definitely good buh I can't say if you made bad moves because I don't knw who u traded away 2 acquire those players...
U could trade pau and then have randolph come off the bench
Thu Mar 05, 2009 10:08 am
I traded D-Wade for Lebron. I had Kirilenko as my SF (with Randolph being the sixth man), but with James, and the lack of a SG, I traded Kirilenko for T-Mac.
Diop has been the center of my team since 08-09 -_- I haven't been able to get rid of him. I'm hoping to see big changes in stats for Randolph so I can maybe get Oden for him.
Thu Mar 05, 2009 10:24 am
So who was ur PF before?...but anyways I think they were all decent moves...rose lebron randolph & others...and if randolph continues to rise in rating maybe trade him for young pf/c. (Horford, bynum, oden?)
How's randolph? I've been tryin to trade for him is he good player to have?
Thu Mar 05, 2009 10:27 am
Hedo Turkolu was my PF one season, and Othelo Hunter after him.
Randolph won sixth man of the year during my 1st in the league season.
Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:19 am
Man so my brothers team he is 6-1 now lost to the Mavs
C- Yao Ming
PF - Shaq
SF - Peja Stojacavic
SG -Kobe
PG - Derrick Rose
Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:45 am
that's a great lineup. you should be unstoppable.

Then you could probably maybe have randolph as a shooting gaurd?

Okay, well I'm back

Haven't had much time to play lately, but I caught up this weekend. Happy to say, 6-time consecutive NBA Champ =D My Derrick Rose might challenge Russell's 11 by the time I trade him =P
Anyways, here's the old team:
C - Kendrick Perkins [78]
PF - Anthony Randolph [81] <-- Quickly becoming one of my favorite players on the team.
SF - BronBron [99]
SG - D. Wright [74]
PG - Derrick Rose [94]
Overall I'm pretty happy with them. Currently #2 in the East, only like 6 games played. Coming off two consecutive seasons of #1 in the East.
Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:25 pm
Congrats. Rose should be productive for you for a few years yet if he's holding steady at 94 overall.
Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:34 pm
Rose is only 25 (I think) so I figure I can squeeze 6 or so more seasons out of him before trading him at his peak.
Sun Mar 08, 2009 1:41 pm
Absolutely. Even if you want to wait a couple of years after that he's got a long way to fall before his rating would making him difficult to trade.
