I thought I heard the cut off date would be later like maybe in the first week of August, I may be wrong dunno. Just from what i've heard in a interview

Possibly, I'm just going by the splash screen I saw on the build I played which might not be correct. It wouldn't surprise me though, July 15th is in line with the cutoff dates of recent years.

Did they fix the problem that 08 had where the computer would sub a point guard or guard in as a center? I played last night against Boston and they put Paul Pierce as center.

I can't say. I didn't see it happen but you don't see every situation play out or glitch occur so I really couldn't say for sure. I certainly hope it's been fixed.

Will I be able to get players from National Teams to NBA teams ? In Live 08, unfortunately it was not possible but I hope it is in Live 09 !

Andrew, just read the NBA Live 09 report about dynasty mode, and I have a question:

You wrote that you couldn't trade picks in the draft, but after I drafted a player can I then trade him. Just like the Brandan Whright for Jason Richardson trade. Is that possible?

You will be able to trade picks during the Draft this year. You can also draft a player then trade him as in previous years.

Anyways my question is regarding the demo. Andrew do you have any info on the exact release date of it. I mean I know its suppose to come out early September but do you have an exact date.

I haven't been handed a date but the lastest info Jao discovered seems to confirm a release in the second week of September. Given that new content tends to come out on a Thursday, that would suggest a September 11th release.

Would NBA Live 09 be able to update the uniforms for both Oklahoma City and New Orleans Hornets. When NBA live 2006 came out the Pacers still had their old uniforms. We have to wait for the code just to get the right uniforms.

The new Hornets jerseys are definitely in the game and I'm fairly certain they'll have the new Oklahoma City jerseys in the game by default too.

Once again, I don't have complete roster listings at this time so I cannot answer those questions. I can however tell you that Belgium is not in the game however, here is a complete listing of FIBA teams that are included in NBA Live 09.

the rosters are very old and out of date....they are not the Olympic rosters....each international team will consist of their NBA players (regardless of whether they play for their national team or not, eg. Steve Nash - Canada, Stojakovic - Serbia, Z - Lithuania) plus I'm guessing known players from their World Championship or previous year's team....

sucks that you can't add the missing players or teams....I believe the horrific ratings can be updated though....somebody needs to post Patrick Mills' speed rating. They've probably got him as a 75 or something

Dave Barlow likely will not be on Boomers squad as he wasn't in the Olympic qualifiers or previously....

Earl boykins has Italian citizenship and if fit and playing well enough he will be on the the squad. He is on the italian reserve squad at the moment dew to fitness wise and he is not playing good enough. if you dont believe me go to the italian basketball on wikipedia. Im laughing at u because you dont think he could play for italy.

Yes, fortunately we'll be able to do our own corrections on the FIBA teams ratings. I played a bit of a game with the Boomers and I recall Mills was fairly speedy but he could likely do with a bit of a boost when the game comes out.

I doubt they're going to release that information before the game is out. They have released lists of ratings in the past but I can't remember the last time, if ever, they released full roster listings. I'd say we won't have that info until the game is released.

The roster cutoff date is July 15th, 2008. Anyone not signed by that date cannot be included in the default rosters though since the Iranian team is in the game it's possible they might also place Haddadi on the Grizzlies' roster. Erden however remains unsigned, thus he cannot be included in the game. If he does sign on with the Celtics this year, the NBA Live 365 updates should take care of things.

Does the nba live 365 roster updates include in the ps2 version. Also Erden is on the Celtics Roster now it is on celtics.com.

I've already explained the situation with Erden. He was not signed by July 15th, therefore he cannot be included in the game.

When you create your own player. Does it have a word Database you can choose from and that the commentators say and the announcer in the background when u score. In Live 08 the announcer just said ur number hopefally in live 09 the announer says ur created players name if it is from the database of names to choose from.

Also is the nBa academy in the ps2 version.
