It wouldn't surprise me if's not released until next week. As I understand it, new content is added on a Thursday, same as Xbox Live so it seems unlikely to be released this weekend.

EA probably can't fix the framerate dropping during game for ps3 and so didn't want to give their fans a bad impression and decide not to buy it after the demo. What a smart move making it exclusive demo for xbox

they helped me make a decision, i will get 2k9, i used to get nba live every year on my PC until they started making crap (like last year) so i bought ps3 so i could play 2k NBA this year, but also thought of buying both, now when they start doing tricks again - the decision is clear.

p.s. i played both 2k8 and nba live 08 demos and it is so clear that 2k8 is so much better

i beg to differ. live 08 is much better than 2k8. and it will be even better this year.

you just need to set the playbooks and use playmakers (or my) roster edits. if anyone still wants them on xbox 360 for Live 08 my gamertag is now DARTH KTULU
but they will be useless as of the end of this month... because who will be playing 08,
when the rosters will update themselves in Live 09?

daily. 365 baby!

i for one cannot stand the shot stick or the iso motion crap in the 2k series. putting the dribbles on the right analog stick feels more natural. this years live looks to blow 2k away.

i can agree that some of the controls in 2k8 are worse than in live, but still, the gameplay, looks, joy of gameplay is much better for me in 2k8 and i played all nba lives since 95, but i hade no such fun playing basketball games as 2k8 from the times of nba live 2003, i hope when i finally try 2009 EA will prove i was wrong, but i had that hope for a very long time and they just managed to disapoint

I FINALLY Got my hands on this demo. And I have to say, I'm addicted to playing it. My brother also was playing me in it and he even said Live is back. And he hated NBA Live last year. I still think the animations are and players move too fast. I have to get used to the dribbling animations. It's still too easy to score inside. But the good things is if you time it correctly, you can make stops. So far I like what I'm playing. the 365 thing looks like something I really won't care about. It really looks Over rated IMO.

I didn't notice any standing around on the computer's part, they played aggressive. But that's after I turned up the speed of the game. It still seems EA has that issue with the speed. If you want your team to run, you have to turn up the speed a little bit. EA really stepped their game up. Even though there's still some glitches, it looks like Live is gonna be fun to play this year, against both CPU and player.

I took off the commentary. The game to me sounds better without it lol. It sounds more LIVE

1 thing that really bothers me is the "ghosting" There's too much of that

that is more of an issue with the TV than with the game.

I had it when I was using the VGA cable to my TV but going back to component I lost that issue.
Opinions are my own.

i played a lot of games against a friend today and it is really easy to get the ball to the PF or C after a score for the easy one at the other end.

A huge flaw is the fact that bigmen don't run back at all and stand there after a score. you always have to drag them back manually.

inside scoring is really too easy even on superstar its way too easy. a lot of blocks though. my friend had 5 blocks in 4 2 minutes of play once. I like the fact that you can block dunks and lay upps from behind or from the front helpside.

i still don't have the double team button. in the game, which is very annoying!!!! (N)

I'm pretty sure the double team button is B and when I use it I hold it until another man comes over to help me double team.

That could be why the Y button isn't working. ;) I'll have to give that a shot.

Yeah the problem you described is called "clipping". Actually i dont know wha"ghosting" is.

I got the demo yesterday and now i play it every time before i turn off the console. I really like the game. 2k9 is probably going to be better but im gonna get both games like i did last year just because they're so different and when one of them gets boring you can play the other.
There are still very many glitches in Live 09. The most annoying for me is the "no out of bounds" rule. Players not only step on line and don't get called, they can actually step out of bounds completely. That's what you call "Basketball without borders". Its also annoying when player try to block the shot or grab a rebound behind the backboard or when their hands clip through the backboard. Another thing i don't really like is the tip-off camera angles.
I like the graphics and the gameplay is OK as well. The new animations are really smooth and beautiful. My favourite is that up&under layup when the player falls down after making it.
I really don't get what's so big about that DNA thing.
But the game is very fun and im getting it :D

We are talking about different things, I meant ghosting as when if a player moves quickly, he will appear ghostly like i guess in the way we moves because the visuals dont catch up with the fps. eh, maybe pdub can explain that more.
