If you have the xbox 360 then there will be updates, same for playstation 3. There's a feature that somebody could explain about further called live 365 which i think is connected with roster updates and i also think it has something to do with the players rating. Maybe andrew or somebody can explain further. But yes you can get updates for the xbox 360.

Aside from the official updates, you can also share custom rosters via the EA Locker. We can't edit the rosters the same way we can on the PC though.

I was just wondering once the season starts EA would release an updated roster. The season would start tomorrow. Today is Oct. 27. NBA teams would submit their lineups to the NBA office by 6 pm today. So everytime there are changes in the roster throughout the course of the season you would have to download an updated roster? Is this correct? Once you download an updated roster whatever changes you made on your player would not reflect on the new roster.
Would live 365 just take care of the changes on your roster without you downloading any new rosters?

Correct, you should save any custom rosters because the NBA Live 365 updates (which begin with the 2008/2009 season) will not apply the changes to your currently loaded rosters, they will overwrite them.

haha they did advertise "daily updated rosters" and yet they have failed to fix incorrect numbers from Live 07, i.e. Trevor Ariza.
i hope they get their act together when the season starts.

Quite a few player positions are amiss as well. All worth reporting.

I usually make changes on the shoes. If this is the case then changes that I made could be overwritten by the roster that they have. I downloaded the most current roster on my ps3. I still had to add some players that are not listed on my team.
Do you suggest that I should start the dynasty tomorrow instead.

there are 365 rosters that are updated daily or almost daily.
however, if you take one of those updates and save it with a new name... then you can edit that new roster file and it will NOT be overwritten. make sense? if you load a 365 roster file... then rename it "CustomRosterz" and edit the heck out of it, that roster will stay like that. however, you will also have a 365 roster file that can be overwritten as well.

Exactly. If there's a particular DNA update you like or you heavily edit your rosters then you should definitely be saving the rosters so that you can restore them later.

i'm actually adding the missing players right now. what worries me is that when the roster comes out tomorrow and it would include the missing players then all the efforts that i made are just put to waste.

your saves will not be overwritten if you save your edited rosters to a new roster file. i guarantee it.

i'm not really worried about that. If EA comes out with a much updated roster with missing players then I should have not made an updated roster at all. well let's see tomorrow.

I've been told that the updates will add missing players so you might want to wait a few days and see what the early 365 updates are like. That's what I'm doing before I start my Dynasty.

thanks man. btw what does the sprite codes do? do they unlock hidden shoes again?
Fri Oct 31, 2008 3:46 pm
I've heard that they unlock an option for super dunks (in case you want to play with NBA Jam style dunks). I don't know any codes though, they're probably going to be part of a Sprite promotion along the lines of buy a bottle of Sprite then enter the code.
