Those overall ratings are worrisome. Amare higher than Howard? Ilgauskas still an 80?

Big Z is nothing but a big lug. The only way Amare gets a higher rating than Howard is simply because Amare is a tad bit better offensively, while Howard is a much better player defensively and a more dominant physical presence and better rebounder. But this is NBA Live, so I'm not surprised about how funky and messed up the ratings are. It seems to be a common theme for EA, especially in regards to NBA Live '08 last year on PC.

Example: Dequan Cook, an 80-85 rated player???? I don't think so.

That's an extreme example though, for all the issues with the ratings over the years it isn't often that so many rookies are overrated as players like Cook and McRoberts were in the PC version of 08 but then again 08 PC was a pretty shoddy product all around.

And Pepe Sanchez is NOT playing for Argentina.. and if he did, he should not be rated 66... The linups is just bad... VERY bad.

Because a couple of players are wrong and arguably underrated? Consider that the FIBA teams use the same ratings as the regular NBA teams and players so someone like Pepe Sanchez is not going to be one of the best players in the game considering his somewhat lacklustre playing career. Aside from that, overall ratings are largely unimportant as it pertains to how players perform in gameplay compared to the individual ratings.

There are Latvia too? Because that`s my country. :)
Sorry for language ;)

Unfortunately not. Just like Poland :( I didn't even know that South Korea or Japan have national teams. They should put Latavia and Poland instead of them...
Who heared about Jr Sakuragi or Byung Hyun Kang ?! Maciej Lampe , Marcin Gortat or Stelmachers are much more known...

Roberts Stelmahers are not played at Latvia`s team. :(
He played only on club.
At Latvian team ar :
1)Andris Biedrins (NBA)
2)Kaspars Bērziņš ( Latvia)
3)Kaspars Cipruss (Latvia)
4)Pavels veselovs (LATVIA)
5)Uvis Helmanis (Latvia)
6)Kristaps Janicenoks(Last season Italia)
7)Gatis Jahovics (Latvia)
8)Janis Porzingis (Ukraina)
9)Aigars Vitols (Latvia)
10)Ernests Kalve (Latvia)
11)Kristaps Valters(Italia)
12)Janis Blūms (Italia)
13)Raimonds Gabrans (Latvia)

There are boxscore of Tournament Latvia France-Latvia

List of FIBA teams in the NBA Live 09 and their overall ratings

Some information on the selection process, taken from our NBA Live 09 Q&A:

Although the news that NBA LIVE 09 would boast 24 FIBA teams, the omission of certain teams such as New Zealand has led to some grumbling in the community. Is there any particular criteria for selecting the teams or is it mostly a licensing issue?

Yes, we selected the teams primarily based on FIBA rankings. We did make some adjustments based on making sure certain territories were adequately covered, but it was primarily based on the world rankings at the time (last year).

the game is made in Canada, so they were a gimme....Puerto Rico has a few NBA players on their team & have been a pretty good team this decade, so their spot is a gimme too....
