Overview

This roster adds final 2005 season lineups to the Xbox 360 version of NBA 2K6, including twenty created players. It also includes some minor ratings updates for a few players, corrects accessories and dunking ratings for Legends on the All-Decade teams, and adds Kenny Anderson and Rod Strickland to the 90s East in place of Reggie Miller and Steve Smith, who were still active in 2005. Lineups for Playoff teams are all accurate as of their elimination game, while some minor liberties have been taken with lottery teams who had key players sit out the final game of the regular season. An "uninjured/best lineups" roster is also included.

Instructions

Before you can use the roster files on your Xbox 360, you will need to re-sign them so that they're tied to your profile and console. For more information on the process, as well as copying save files to and from an Xbox 360, watch this tutorial from MrMario2011:

phpBB [video]

(Jump ahead to 7:42 in the video for information on resigning downloaded Xbox 360 save files)

The Horizon Xbox 360 Modding Tool used in the above tutorial can be found here: https://www.wemod.com/horizon

NOTE: Although the roster shouldn't overwrite any of your files - unless you happen to already have ones named 2005 and 2005NoInj present - you may want to back them up first. No responsibility will be taken for any lost data!

  1. 1. Extract the Content folder to your PC, and browse through the subfolders until you find the 2005.ROS and 2005NoInj.ROS files.
  2. Re-sign the 2005.ROS and 2005NoInj.ROS files to your profile, according to the instructions in the tutorial above.
  3. Copy the Content folder with the re-signed files to a USB drive that's been formatted for use with an Xbox 360.
  4. Plug the USB drive into your Xbox 360.
  5. On the Settings tab, go to System and then Storage.
  6. On the Storage page, go to USB Storage Device.
  7. When viewing the USB Storage Device, go to Games & Apps.
  8. Select NBA 2K6, then the 2005.ROS file. Choose Copy.
  9. Select your Xbox 360 Hard Drive as the destination.
  10. Still under NBA 2K6, select the 2005NoInj.ROS file. Choose Copy.
  11. Again, select your Xbox 360 Hard Drive as the destination.
  12. The files will now be on your hard drive. If they have been properly re-signed to your profile, you should be able to load them in-game.

As a final note, after revisiting old basketball video game manuals for Wayback Wednesday earlier this year, I was inspired to go beyond the usual basic information and installation instructions in the readme file, so be sure to give it a look!
