Problems saving settings

How do you save your settings? Autosave is on. I always save my sliders and settings but often, nothing is saved and I have to adjust everything over and over again, e.g. presentation (audio...custom is often empty) ... and rules. When my settings are not saved the default settings are not used either but some random ones.

I think the problem was that I controlled the menu with my gamepad and the mouse / keyboard. Now I just do everything with my gamepad it saving works.
