DUNK UNDER THE RIM

Hi guys

Every time a player receives a pass just under the rim in a standing still position, he never attempts to dunk even I press right trigger and shot stick. What he does in this case is just different layups(Normally this works if he is running towards the rim).


Do you have any idea about how to make a player dunk in this case?

If you take a look in the NBA, only tall dominant players make dunks standing under the rim. In NBA 2K9 this is measured with the rating "Standing Dunk", which is normally or 50 (no dunks), 75 (some dunks) and 99 (tries to dunk all the time). Players like Shaq, D12, Amare, Ming, KG, Bynum, Al Jefferson, and others maybe that I can't recall right now, should be given near 99. But even with all his leaping ability, I can't imagine Josh Smith making a standing dunk with his marker in front of him.
