Please Help

Postby S_Brat on Sun Nov 30, 2014 1:27 am

I have no clue whats causing this. Every time i exit out of a game or individual practice mode to go back to main menu the game crashes. Its so frustrating having to load the game again. I have tried a new install multiple times. The roster i am using is the nba action latest roster. But this has happened with all of andrews rosters as well. The only time it doesnt do that is with the original rosters.

This is the error

Strange that it's happening with custom rosters, but not the original. You'd usually expect to see a codebase error when it's roster related, though if it's related to the video card, then it could be caused by the custom art files that the rosters are utilising (2x resolution files and all that).

Anything else you can tell us about the situation? Your specs, your setup, whether you're running the game with Administrator privileges or not...the usual stuff. Hopefully something can point us in the right direction.

Yeah, there really shouldn't be any issues like that. Puzzling.

You're lucky you can still play. My new laptop can't even run any NBA Live game, while my old laptop can run it smoothly.

do you think its just the new operating system just not being compatible with really old games?...

I'm able to run NBA Live 08 on Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) without any issues...except that sometimes the process is still running in the background after I exit the game, but ending that in the Task Manager resolves that issue and allows me to launch the game again, or another NBA Live.

yeah i get that same problem at times... im going to see if maybe one of my memory cards is damaged maybe there is not enough memory?... i dunno what else could cause this problem... people that play COD and Battlefield have this issue if they play the game a long period of time... but those games have a bigger game engine so with those i would understand... but i dont get why this game started to do this all of a sudden... it was rare when i first installed the game but lately its all the time and a fresh install of the game only fixes it temporarily... the more i play the game the more common the problem gets.... and it only crashes to when i exit to main menu... i wonder if its some corrupted file in sgsm folder but which file would cause a crash like that?....

so i was able to fix this issue... i went into my video card settings and changed the tripple vsync buffer settings to on and that stopped the crashing when exiting to main menu... if anyone else has these same issues try playing around with your video card settings....
