My friend got his hands on the PS2 version and he sent me some files so I could take a look.
The PS2 has 256 jerseys using the 101 fsh files for numbers.
There is a cust.viv in the stadia folder (custom?)
The following players have their own animation viv (sig shots and or goto moves)

The cutscenes are better for intros and timeouts IMHO (i put them in 07)

Interesting news.
In PC version may be 512*512 jerseys and numbers just from 0 to 9.

but again, with the tools we have, there is no reason why we cant have 512 jerseys.....i mean we got it working for 07...only no patchers used it.

The PS2 version is far better than the PSP....I hope the PC version is as good as PS2...

Size is not really the problem making all those numbers really sucks. Who in their right mind makes a game like that? (talking about 101 different numbers)

joejam999, I personally like this system better, hopefully this year patchers can realize they can make shaqs belly look bigger with the jersey texture or even have different textures for the same jersey to change up the appearance on the court. Hell even including the number on the jersey itself instead of using the number fsh lets it look better.
Edit, there is a batch file in the patching section for photoshop so that you only need to make the 10 numbers and it will do the rest.
keem21, I havent gotten to ask him, i did manage to snag the aiact though and pdub put it in 07. He said that it plays like the Wii version gameplay videos. (which i think is a good thing)

I'm pretty sure they have some tools that can create all the numbers from just ten single digits.
JaoSming gave me the aiact, and I tried it in 07. Remember that the aiact is made for the programming of 08, so the gameplay from 07 shouldn't reflect the final product of 08. The best way to describe it is that it plays like the Wii and ps2 gameplay videos that we have seen.

I think those animation.viv's are a good thing...
But why is it that on the videos..the go-to moves they are talking about is the FSS moves from 07..
I hope they put the real ones..

I am speculating about the signature shots/goto-moves. The animation files have the same format as the names of the cyberfaces, so it might be possible to give a created player a signature shot/goto move(if it's not possible through the create/edit player function) just by changing some filenames and a small hex edit.

thats only real good for the home away and most alternatives and if you have the font types doesn't help with my hardwood classics too much. I miss the 03 & 04 ways they were the good old days of customart.

hey JaoSming, can you post a link to download the 08 aiact file and player.dbf so i can have a look at it, and maybe help out with modding the game play prior to pc release:lol:

The PS2 doesn't have dbf....It's "dbc" or something...

But i can tell you for sure that there are National Teams in the files...
