When Will Player Ratings be Released (by IGN)?

Thu Sep 20, 2007 5:06 am

With the game set to be released in a couple of weeks, I'm wondering if anyone knows when the player ratings will be released. I know for the past few years IGN has released them sometime prior to the games release. I think last year's ratings were released on Sept. 19/06.

So - does anyone know when we can expect the ratings?

September 32nd, 2007

We don't have anyone here who knows anyone on the IGN staff I dont think so it is kinda impossible for us to know when they might post an article.

those are team & top player's overall ratings....I'm assuming the person is asking for individual ratings....if they are released, they'll probably go to Game Tap, that Jon Robinson guy who use to work at IGN must have the contacts....

Was that really necessary? He was merely asking a question, which did not warrant a response like that. These kinds of responses won't be accepted in future.

Wow! - uhh fruitcake..you need to relax a little. Didn't know such a simple question would cause anyone to curse! I asked because, from what I can tell, this is the best site for the Live series and there are are quite a few members with various contacts. So I though I'd ask.

Maybe I shoudn't expect anything else from someone with FRUITCAKE as a name!

Aren't these right?

I think that these are the ratings of XBOX360/PS3 version game.
Ratings of Pc version may be better.

(Raptors and Magic just 69, Warriors just 74, Grizzlies just 70..
.. and Cavaliers are considered better, 77!)

I was always so grateful when IGN did this, what happened this year?

The Cav's were Sort of eastern conf champions last year which makes them officially better than raptors and magic...

This year the Xbox 360/PS3 version was promoted more heavily while the other platforms took a backseat. As -km- and The X noted, overall team ratings and the top rated players at each position were made public but I guess EA just did that as a teaser rather than releasing in-depth player ratings this year.

I went and picked up my copy at lunch, but haven't played yet. I'm hearing that most player ratings (PS2) are identical to last years. For example, Arenas is still 10 Clutch.

Can anyone confirm this? Are the ratings (especially for star players) identical to last years? If so, that is really disappointing.

I can't confirm anything as yet since I still don't have my hands on the game but perhaps someone who's fortunate to have it will be able to take a look for you.
