A similar list appeared on Wikipedia last year, which was essentially based on the hopes and speculations of gamers around the Internet. Dirk Nowitzki is extremely likely to be featured on the German cover given the recent trend of regional covers and the others include likely candidates, all of whom have been mentioned in this thread. I wouldn't be surprised if one of those players ended up on the cover (LeBron or Arenas remain my picks at this stage) but as far as I'm aware it's purely fan speculation rather than rumours stemming from any kind of official source.
