NBA Live 08 - PC: MAJOR BUG

I hate 2k sports for only one reason.. the dont make nba for pc... they cant?I dont think so

I actally was enjoying the game this year for once, but the game crashing after 1st quarter, and after timeouts is ridiculous, EA get ur S*it together, the only peple still supporting them 13 year olds who play console game who dont know any better.....................if 2K made NBA 2K for the PC with online play, they would make lots of money, because there wont be any competettion......cmon 2K.

Man, couple of weeks ago I sent an e-mail to the customer service and requested them to bring the NBA 2k9 or at least port NBA 2k8 to PC.

Here's my e-mail:

Did you see that ? They have no plans to release NBA 2k on PC !

But why? A big company can show its bigness with only competeing against its rivals (i mean rivalry between NBA 2k and EA sports on next-gen consoles) ! And i'm sure if 2k Sports release NBA 2K on PC, their income will largely increase !

Actually, it is quite likely that they cannot. There's a chance EA owns exclusive rights to NBA titles for the PC.

No, EA does not have any exclusive rights for the NBA. The NBA does not want to limit it's cash intake to one game company.

I am convinced they spent almost no extra time on it. Almost all the files have dates of July 25th. (And the disc, August 17th) I would say they ported the PS2 version after it was done and let it sit until release.

the only way it doesnt crash is when you pause/esc after CPU time outs AND after quarters you pause it a couple of times before resuming.

i layed a whole game and it crashed after the final quarter, but i only paused it once then.

game itself needs a lot of patching. the cameras are horrible.

maybe easports forced to release this kind of game(LOT OF BUG) in order them to faceout this version and force us to buy nextgen console and play the console version. what do you think?

I've played now an astounding two games of Live 08 (haven't had time to play more) on the PC and the game has crashed once. It was while loading my Dynasty. I killed the game and started it again and it loaded up ok.

I've played through two games with 8 minute quarters and haven't seen a single game time crash yet. Plenty of time outs called and the cut scenes played. But I have a 3 month old computer...

I report no crashes due to cut scenes...

Well if they want pc gamers to play basketball on the 360 or PS3 then everyone will just get 2k instead of Live.

ive got a very temporary and annoying solution til a bug fix comes out

any time you or the comp calls a time out
or at the end of the half

keep pressing esc, "resume game"
esc, "resume game" after the time out has been called or the half is over or the quarter
keep pressing it til u see the game go back 2 the sidelines 4 u 2 play n it should be sweet

wheb u do that after that it just doesnt go 2 the bug which crashes it n goes 2 the 2nd quarter

ive played 3 games this way no probs at all, its just annoying 2 miss all the cut scenes
