I took the Garnett deal as an inspiration.

I traded Ben Wallace and Ben Gordon and a 2nd round pick for Tim Duncan and Bruce Bowen. I figured to hell with the future if I could win now. While I did win the title (it was my second season), Duncan sprained his ankle and was out for 9 weeks. After which, he was sprained again for another 9 weeks.

Bowen? The guy tore an ACL and was out for close to 70 games.

I could say that the trade went 50-50. It wasn't a complete bust as I won the title the year I got Duncan. But I was also a loser as I lost the future (Ben Gordon) and I was out of the play-offs when I was supposed to repeat.

I never get injuries, I don't get it. Usually my guys go down for 3-4 days, never huge career enders, or season enders. :S

I lost Ben Gordon for 20 games in my NBA Live 06 Bulls Dynasty and had a few others miss between 5-10. It was the first season I'd played all the way through without anyone seeing action in all 82 games. Challenging at times, but fun because of it.

I had a Dynasty where I was using Dallas Mavericks and drafted Javaris Crittenton. Then I traded Javaris Crittenton, Josh Howard and Jerry Stackhouse for Rashard Lewis and Dwight Howard. I'm sure I did other trades too but I can't remember them right now.

I would have kept Nene and Gasol. Who do you have coming off the bench?

I traded Kwame Brown, Radmanovic and Walton for Gasol and R.Gay.
Traded Odom for Stojakovic (not free, sorry).
Next, R. Gay, Derek Fisher and Mihm for Nene, A. Carter and Wafer.
And with the Bulls, Nene, Gasol for Wallace and Noah.

I definitely would have kept Gay, Fisher, Nene and Gasol but if that's working out for you, that's cool. :)

Looking good, though I find teams like that a little too stacked to play with. When I've put together teams like that in the past, I've found I'm more often than not playing for stats rather than playing a competitive game, trying to get everyone numbers.

It makes a lot of fun to play this dynasty. Each player in the starting five scores 10- 20 points, sometimes Garnett or Pierce scores 25. I always try to give everybody some shots and that erverybody scores his 10-20 points.

14) Miles (58) <-> Roger Mason (62) (Wizards)

15) Crittenton (66), Mason (62), Harrington (62) <-> Jianlin (72), Ruffin (62), Storey (59)

-->

C : Tim Duncan (93) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Craig Smith (59)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Michael Ruffin (62)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Yi Jianlin (72) / Bobby Jones (58)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Demarr Johnson (68) / Awvee Storey (59)
G : Deron Williams (80) /Viktor Khryapa (56) / Yakhouba Diawara (61)

Now I want to trade Johnson (68) for a good PG.

Edit:

16) Jianlin (72), Ruffin (62), Johnson (68 ) <-> Green (73), Brewer (70), Scalabrine (59) (Wolves)

I waived Awvee Storey (59) and Bobby Jones (58) and signed Zarko Cabarkapa (60) and Mike Wilks (62).

-->

C : Tim Duncan (93) / Andrew Bynum (70) / Craig Smith (59)
F : Kevin Garnett (97) / Glen Davis (66) / Zarko Cabarkapa (60)
F : Paul Pierce (88 ) / Corey Brewer (70) / Brian Scalabrine (59)
G : Andre Iguodala (87) / Gerald Green (73) / Yakhouba Diawara (61)
G : Deron Williams (80) /Viktor Khryapa (56) / Mike Wilks (62)
