Everyone,

I hope this is not redundant, but will Playmaker release the file on this site as well as the EA Locker?

I can't wait to start playing my Dynasty!

Wed Oct 17, 2007 12:57 am

I sent the file out to few people this morning.

Hopefully they'll create a file and share it for the rest of the community to test out.

Here's the ratings for each team in the game after all the work. I tried to get as close as possible to the rankings of the Sporting News magazine.

Live Rating vs Sporting News Rating
1)-Dallas-97 vs 94.............
2)-Phoenix-96 vs 95
3)-Houston-94 vs 89..........(This was more based on potential)
4)-San Antonio-92 vs 93....(They are the best defensive team in the game)
5)-Detroit-92 vs 91
6)-Denver-92 vs 85........(+15 boost in Fast Break Rating increased them by +7)
7)-Cleveland-91 vs 91
8)-Chicago-91 vs 92
9)-Boston-90 vs 88
10)-New Jersey-90 vs 86
11)-LA Lakers-90 vs 85
12)-Utah-89 vs 90
13-)Miami-88 vs 84
14)-Golden St-88 vs 84
15)-Washington-86 vs 86
16)-New Orleans-86 vs 83
17)-Milwaukee-86 vs 84
18)-LA Clippers-85 vs 81
19)-Toronto-84 vs 84
20)-Orlando-83 vs 85
21)-Charlotte-80 vs 77
22)-Sacramento-80 vs 77
23)-Indiana-78 vs 73
24)-New York-78 vs 72
25)-Memphis-76 vs 80
26)-Portland-74 vs 82....(Young Atheletic but lack of experience brought them down in my ratings)
27)-Minnesota-74 vs 72
28)-Atlanta-74 vs 72
29)-Seattle-70 vs 81...............(I had to be realistic here)
30-Philadelphia-68 vs 65.........

I'll post the team specific ratings in a few days after I take break from all this editing. The front page was updated with the game play sliders I modified to fit the roster file. You going to notice right away that speed won't even feel like it's set to 10 overall. Some of the younger squads will be easier to exploit while teams like Dallas, Phoenix and San Antonio will be a little tougher to knock out.

The CPU will take shots from every where as the tendencies really help to get them to mix up all over the court. The AI players will go to their hot spots more with the increase in Off The Ball awareness for many players. In fact I even noticed the Human controlled AI players will set up sometimes on their own without a play being called. The PG's will still attack you but not as much as the Default game play. I think it's pretty balanced now as the scorer's will score and the non-scorer's will take what you give them especially if you play up close to them all game.

The rebounding is probably about 25% better since I went as high as I could without making everyone Ben Wallace. The only way to really solve the problem is to Max out everyone's rebounding ratings but that wasn't something I wanted to do just to stop a few rebounds froim hitting the floor. Not everyone will have crazy verticals or 1st steps anymore either. Which is good because you can't take off from anywhere and dunk now. In fact you might hit the dunk button and the guy shoots a layup instead that's called modifying the each players Dunk vs Layup Frequency Rating something I added my self to get you to pass the ball and call plays more............

I hope the file helps some of you to enjoy the game a little more. I know there will still be some issues as with every sports video game. Just keep in mind it's only a game and even though we want it to perfect it's not going to be nor would I expect it to be because the only true SIM is in the real sports world.

yeah i'll post them later after get some sleep.

you guy's should give this settings a try for game play and turn the human offensive rebounding down to 10 because on the file I had it 25 which is too high with the improved rebounding IQ by the players I modified.

I have the file but I’m not sure if I can post a download link without permission from playmakers? There is a reason why he haven’t posted it… But if anyone wants to hook-up with ea locker (tag: Twenty2inDubz) I will be home around 7:00pm CST and I will accept as many as possible.

Playing first game with playmakers sliders. Lakers vs. Rockets. 10 minute quarters on Superstar. Will post results at the end.

Wed Oct 17, 2007 9:26 am

1st game with Playmaker's sliders. Houston vs. LAL. Superstar Mode, 10 minute quarters:

Final Score, LAL (me) 118, Houston 117. Game came down to the wire. Yao was unstoppable in the post (which is good). T-Mac liked to break down on the defenders and try to get to the basket (which was also good).

GAME Summary (by quarters):
LAL HOU
27 27
34 30
31 26
26 33

Player of the game: Kobe Bryant

Brown: 18pts 12rbs. 2blks 2 ass
Turiaf: 18pts 7rbs. 1 blk 3 ass
Odom: 22pts 3rbs 4ass 1st 1blk
Bryant: 11-30FG, 34 pts 4 ass, 2rbs, 2stl
Fisher 6 pints 4rbs, 3stls

Ming: 13-22FG 31 pts. 8 rbs, 1blk
Hayes 11pts 5 rbs
Battier 14pts 4rbs 4asst 1stl 1blk
T-Mac: 12-17FG 27pts, 4stls 2ast, 4rbs
Francis: 7pts 1st 6ast 2rbs

HOUS: FG% .598 (49-82)
3's% .400 (2-5)
FT: 81%
37 RBS
16 ASSISTS
2 blks
9 stls
14 to's
22 fouls
33 fast break points
10 second chance

Lakers: 46% FG, 16% 3 pointers, 34 boards, 22 assist, 6 blocks, 9 steals, 11 turnovers, 17 fouls, 20 fast break points, 16 second chance points

Summary. The game was a close one. Came down to Ming hitting a last minute shot, and it being waved off by the refs. The scoring was too high for my liking, so I'm going to bring it down to around 9 minutes. Based off this game I was averaging 3 points a minute. Therefore, by cutting 4 minutes off, I can score about 12 less points per game, or if I go down to 8 minute quarters...I can cut off 24 points per game. I know this is all theoretical...but the final score could have looked like:

LAL: 96 HOU: 95....which is a lot more realistic. Keep in mind, I'm a Live veteran...pretty good...was ranked #3 on NBA Live 06 (i know it was garbage)...then was ranked 8th on Xbox Live until a game froze and I was winning and the guy refused to quit so my Xbox Live disconnected and gave him the win. Anyway, that's a whole other story.

I'm pretty sure when I play teams with less calibar of talent or scorers, the opponent score wil be down in the 70's or 80's. The slower motion of the game makes it feel a lot more realistic. The Rocket's fast breaked too much for my liking, but then again, Francis and James are probably set to anticipate the breaks.

Battier was taking some uncharacterstic shots (Odom in his face one on one..he took about 10 shots total) but the PG's weren't forcing shots so I can't really complain.

It was also fun watching some missed dunks. About a total of 3 or 4. So it makes you not want to quit on a play. The rebounding was a lot better, I just have to time myself better to get the rebounds.

No issues with subs. Great. Everyone got minutes.

Overall. I love this game play. I'm going to have to adjust the user shooting settings, because it is too hard to make 3 pointers with the Lakers (wide open 3's aren't automatic..but 2 for 12...).

I posted it on the front page aswell. Don't forget to lower Human Offensive rebounding down to 10. Also, you can edit the fast break ratings for any player you like in the game. I didn't want to take away the ability to run the break so all teams will still have 2-3 guy's that will get out and run. I'd say 8 minute qtr's would put you in the low to mid 90's for game play scores roughly 60% of the time.

Thanks for helping me out.

Second game. 8 minutes quarters. LAL 94 (me), PHO 90. I think this is more what I'm looking for scoring wise. The score would have been more, but the Lakers blocks. If it weren't for the defense, then I probably would have gotten creamed. I think 9 minute quarters is going to give me what I'm really wanting. When does the Lakers hold Phoenix to just 90 points? Based off how I play, then the final score should have been 106-102 had I played 9 minute quarters. Next game is against Utah which I'll probably simulate.

I also tweaked the CPU and human sliders a little bit. I added about 5 points on the shooting ranges for the User and lowered it a little bit on the CPU side. Both teams made a fair amount of wide open shots.

Everyone on Phoneix played well except for Amare. He only took 4 shots, but did have 12 rebounds. Nash had 22 shot attempts. Maybe the shooting mentality needs to come down on him some and raised on Stoudemire.
