Thinking of getting NBA Live 08 on the PSP...

I just got NBA 08, and I'm playing it and thinking "Wow... how this game got a decent review beats me." NBA Live 07 at it's worst is more of a basketball game than this joke. So for anyone who has NBA Live 08 for the PSP, answer these for me, thanks.

1. Can you edit players, rosters, create players, etc.

2. Can you select different jerseys before games.

3. Is there Dynasty mode? Or is it just a season mode.

4. How're the controls? NBA 08 is a complete joke to the point where I feel mean to laugh at it. You can't even change controls either.

1. No, you cannot edit players or create players. You can edit rosters, except for the international teams.
2. Yes, you can select different jerseys before the game.
3. There is both dynasty mode and season mode.
4. Controls are reminiscent of Live for the regular PlayStation, no second analog stick or dunk and lay-up buttons. X is Pass, O is Shoot, Triangle is Jump and Square is "Freestyle" dribble.

I have NBA 07, and it looks pretty much the exact same as NBA 08... and although the SCEA NBA series recieves higher ratings than Live on the PSP, Live is much, much better. For some reason I think the video game sites that rate the NBA games for PSP place a large emphasis on the mini-games included. My advice: sell NBA 08 while you can still get a decent amount of money for it and pick up Live 08... you'll enjoy it much more.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Thank you for answering JumpmanJordan :)

Yeah, I'm kind of on the fence on whether to trade in NBA 08 and get Live 08... since I really need some portable basketball. But I just shelled out $45 for 08, which means I'd probably only get a measley $15 if I'm lucky... sigh, every PSP game needs to have a demo... Which leads to another question I forgot to ask:

Can you save games in between and stuff? I know I can just put my PSP on standby, but it'd be definitely preferable if I can save and exit to do something else on my PSP i.e watching a video and whatnot.

And damn... not being able to edit international teams... I was thinking of putting myself on my beloved China National Team.

No, it's not possible to save in the middle of a game and come back to it later.
