Atlwarriors Realistic Rosters Sliders Gamefix Demo+AIACT!

Atlwarrior's Realistic Rosters Sliders Gamefix Demo :)

Roster is based off Andrews latest roster but I made many changes

It is compatible with NBA Action 14 or Andrews Roster

-Extract Database My documents Nba live 08 folder
-Extract DemoRosterv1 to your saves folder
-Extract tuning, merlin & simeng to your main game folder in your program files
-Do the same above with the aiact except copy nd paste it in the ai/act folder
-Go back to your main game folder to anim/body
-Extract your Settings.dat to the settings folder
my documents nba live 08 folder
-there's an extra players.dbf file so you can overwrite after each time the primacy ratings change
NOTE: MAKE SURE YOU DELETE OR MOVE YOUR CURRENT SETTINGS.DAT
BEFORE YOU PUT THE NEW ONE IN OR YOUR GAME WILL CRASH

Changes made:
-four teams playable on playoffs roster (Heat, Pacers, Spurs, Thunder)
-Updated Aiact (based off Kris' with some changes), Sliders and playbooks
- Brought animations from 07 to help fix the gameplay such as dunking, walking and running animations, blocking, and passing much improved (no more passing to nowhere)
-Updated Hotspots
-Updated Score Areas
-Updated Dunk Packages
-Improved Primacy Ratings to increase ball movement and determine who get the most touches
-Updated Sigshots, GTM's & GTM SPOTS
-Rosters updated as 2013-14 but no rookies will add them later
-Player Attributes are based off of Rashidis 2k edits who uses real statistcal data
-Ovrl Ratings are different but they don't really reflect who's the best player on each team
Ex: (Westbrook is a 96 ovrl due to the fact EA's rating system overrates athletic players and Durant is a 94 but he's obviously more effective)
-Decreased all guards & sf's field goal and 3pt by 20 pts to get rid of the inbound fastbreak glitch
-Pf's nd C's field goal ratings are not decreased by 20 but their 3pt ratings are
- Outside scorer animations are gone as a result of the fg and 3pt decrease which the game is better off without anyway (All other fss anims are still there)
-Decreased all jump ratings by 35 except for each teams best leapers
-Steals for all players decreased by 15 except for each teams top 3 ball thiefs
-Blocks now set on a scale of 25-99 (helps increase the contested shots and aggressive d)
-Sliders will balance out with each rating change (ex: mid range and 3pt sliders are set at 60 and 65)
-Stamina set on a scale of 1-75
-Rebounding improved

Credits: Andrew, Kris, Rashidi, Playmakers (looked at some of his past work to make the sliders and fixes), Bayag (for giving me the files needed for the 07 animations)

Altwarrior i am making a Euroleague patch and for now i am using Kris's aiact . Is yours better than his? Should i download it?

It actually is the same as his but it fixes the dunking, passing, running, and makes the defense better. I just converted all of those things from nba live 07's animations and it made the game better. In other words Kris' aiact was already good but I just beefed it up a bit.

My rosters also contributed to some of the fixes too. Your roster should work very well with my aiact but I suggest that you do the -20 fg & 3pt on the guards and sf's and the -20 decrease on pf's and C's 3pt ratings. It gets rid of that annoying one pass shoot glitch after a made shot. The only fss animations you are sacrificing are the outside scorers' which is the least appealing anyways.

I tested the aiact with your settings (i lowered the speed cause in Europe the game is much more slowed :) ) . The defense is much better , the defenders of the opposition and your defender stay on their player . They go for anticipation of the pass . Better tactical game . Less easy shots!!!! Apart from that it's so much Kris . Generally , Really good job out there altwarrior , i 'll use your aiact(+settings) on my patch :)

great job man!

The reason i never got into live '08 was because the defense was horrible. The defense is a lot tighter like '07 with your aiact. (Y) .

I found a way to add more variety interior shots if you're interested.

I'm actually working on it now. I'll send you the files when its complete.Basically theres a different shot type according to the distance. Instead of just the default inside1hnd, i'm going to add inside1hnd2,inside1hnd3,inside1hnd4...for shottype shottype2,3,4, and so on..
I'll create the template, if there's a shot you don't like then you can replace it with any animation.. give me a bit of time, I think imma head to NYC to check out superbowl blvd. Tommorow for sure.

wow what a difference... this has completely improved gameplay... im loving this game so much more now... animations are great!! shooting is a bit more realistic... i love how defenders are staying with their guys... no more wide open shots every time... better dribbling and player movement... cpu players take better shots.... so many improvements..... good job Kris and altwarrior... if this is the demo then im looking forward to the final release

my only questions are...
1. is there any way to eliminate throwing the ball out of bounds when trying an alley oop?
2. is there any way to not have the user team constantly running a fast break?
3. will decreasing the sliders by 20 on the sf's make them not wide open all the darn time on the 3 point line?...

cpu game play is great.... but user still feels too easy cuz my guys are always wide open...

Thanks! But yeah you may want to see my sliders in the settings.dat file I made a mistake and set the User On-ball Defense Assist to 50. Change it to 25 and it should fix at least two of those things you mentioned. You may also want to reduce the game speed 40 or 45. There's really no way to address the alley oop problem other than knowing the right time to throw one.

I will be releasing my next roster and sliders on the NBA Action Mod. More changes have been made shortly after my first demo. On my first roster update you will see even more improvements in the cpu defense and sliders. This thread will con't to be active. You can post suggestions and opinions on my roster. And after my 1.0 release my e.g. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 rosters will be on here.

atl, sorry man got caught up with some other things. I actually found a few things to tighten up the defense as well as adding more shots.. I'll pm you the file soon.

Atl warrior, can I use only simengin because I'm currently play season with retro rosters and CPU sim statistics are very annoying. What do you recommend? What files/folders should I paste in main folder?
