NBA Live 08 Wii

has anyone bought the game for wii yet? idk if its been mentioned, but is it a port of the ps2 version and is it also as good as the current gen systems like pc/ps2? is there anything else that could be mentioned about the wii version thats good/bad?

I got it yesterday and it's definitely leaves me wanting...

If anyone else can back me up on this, I could swear it plays 99% like NBA '07. I don't notice any different animations, moves, and maybe 1-2 new commentaries by Albert and Kerr.

Aside from the updates rosters, it's almost exactly like '07.

The Wii-mote aspect of it is novel, and I could see how it might be kinda fun with a group of people (just like most of the Wii games is more fun with a group I guess), but being a PC live fan since probably Live '02, it really lacks that depth I'm accustomed to.

Going into it I knew there wasn't a dynasty mode, but still, little things like no stamina bar display in the substitution screen just highlights the lack of depth this game on the Wii has.

I'll give it some time, but I'll likely return this to Gamestop for a partial credit towards Live '08 on the PC.

I think there may be a good basketball game at some point on the Wii, but this isn't it.

I rented it for the Wii, I have to say it leaves me wanting a toilet to puke in. It's disgusting. The controls are horrible. Worst of all, there is no dynasty mode at all. All of the same roster problems are there, of course. Then you have to deal with all of the extra crap they handed to the Wii owners. It really does play exactly like Live '07, at least for the Wii. I'm praying the PC version is good or else I'll have extended time with Madden this year.
