So what are you going to do w/ the line up if Wiggins comes?
If stanley Johnson is the 6th man and Wiggins is in LA to stay then you should probably look into trading Oubre. Maybe for pick + a lowly paid specialist (maybe a 3pt specialist).

I'd say no, just because I like realism and realistic trades a lot more. That helps me stick with my thread. I have to resist the urge to trade a lot and make big moves (I've done too much recently anyway with Favors for Ryno), but maybe make a smaller trade if you're desperate for a new face.

Sim brings little benefit anyway, so trade him for somebody who can actually play for more than 4 minutes

The rosters were selected by the league’s assistant coaches, with one ballot for each of the NBA’s 30 teams. Both 10-man rosters include four guards, four frontcourt players and two players regardless of position. Each team also features a minimum of three first-year players and three second-year players among its 10 spots.

F – Bojan Bogdanovic [BKN]
F – Julius Randle [LAL]
C – Joel Embiid [LAL]
6 – Gary Harris [DEN]
7 – Stanley Johnson [LAL]
8 – Nerlens Noel [PHI]
9 – Jusuf Nurkic [DEN]
10 - Aaron Gordon [ORL]

Team Chuck

C – Frank Kaminsky [MEM
6 – Jordan Clarkson [LAL]

Olivier Hanlan and Perry Ellis... a bit unexpected.
I like Hanlan, he could last a few years in the league. Ellis not so much.

Carroll back to full health

The Los Angeles Lakers forward, DeMarre Carroll, is now reportedly back to full health, according to Lakers’ coach, Byron Scott.

Carroll tore his ACL around last year’s playoffs when the Atlanta Hawks were at the brink of going to the Eastern Conference Finals.

Coach Byron Scott said Carroll is now ready to play in his first game this season.

We should see him on the floor tomorrow night when the Lakers face the Memphis Grizzlies.

Lakers sign undrafted rookie Rashad Vaughn

Image

The Los Angeles Lakers have signed undrafted guard from the 2015 NBA Draft, Rashad Vaughn, General Manager Kevin Parker Sr. announced today. It seems like Vaughn will be a Laker for 4 years and will be paid $1.2M per year.

Vaughn, a 6-foot-6-inch guard out of UNLV, was named the Mountain West Conference’s Freshman of the Year, Honorable Mention All-League and Second Team NABC All-District 17 in 2014-15 after averaging a team-high 17.8 points, along with 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. He started all 23 games in which he played for the Rebels before suffering a season-ending knee injury, and at the time of the injury, his scoring average ranked second in the MWC and third in the nation among freshmen.

The Lakers hope Vaughn can share the load with the other rookie, Emmanuel Mudiay.

When asked about the signing, Vaughn said, “I’m very grateful for this opportunity that the Lakers Organization offered me. I’m sure I can contribute to this team and I hope the Lakers fans support me through my journey.”
Vaughn will play his first game as a Laker on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks.

Re: Los Angeles Lakers [28-28] - Lakers sign Vaughn | Lakers look to get above .500

Lakers looking to get above .500

Image

Before the All-Star Break, the Lakers were able to get their fifth consecutive win when they defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 106-87 in front of Lakers fans at Staples Center. The win would place the Lakers back at .500, knotting their overall record at 27-27. Even though the Lakers clearly said that they are not looking to contend this season, they still think that going above the .500 mark can be a good morale and confident booster for their team.

Tonight, the Lakers are playing against the Dallas Mavericks in their homecourt. This will be the first game of a short three-game road trip in which the Lakers will travel to New Orleans, Dallas, and Cleveland.

While the Mavericks may not have the most impressive record (29-26) coming into tonight, they’re a contending team that certainly gets excited to play against a team like the Lakers. As has been the narrative for every road game this season for the Lakers, a bad start can really bury this team very deep into a deficit, so it’s going to be key for the Lakers that they start the game with strong effort and energy if they want to be successful on the road.
